  1. I bought it from a retired Rebel Alliance X-Wing pilot... Compared to my trusty old Husqvarna helmet. The X-Wing has better visability, better hearing protection, fit is comparable. It's early days, time will tell.... Visor doesn't fog up, but it's been warm weather thus far.
  2. I am a groundie with some PPE, soon doing my chainsaw ticket. Looking for work with tree companies in Bristol. Cheers, Finn
  3. Hi, my names Josh Atkins, 25 years old, looking for PERMANENT position I have just recently got my NPTC 201/202/203 (CS30/31) and am looking to change career into the arborist industry. I live in Peterborough but don't mind travel. Within reason. I hold a full UK driving licence No experience as this will be a new career Willing to learn as over time I aim to do my climbing Have done split shifts and night shifts over the past 3 years so am eager to change job and work. I understand I will be coming in at entry level, will be looking for a reasonable wage as I still have bills to pay Any offers or advice is greatly appreciated.
  4. Hello! I am on the search for a local lad (Derbyshire), who would like to work with me. The areas we cover are generally Littleover, Mickleover, Swarkestone, Melbourne, Duffield, Findern, Repton, Newton Soley, and surrounding areas in Derbyshire. Qualifications Minimum - NPTC CS30, CS38 Preferred - As above plus CS31, CS39 It's essential that you have your own climbing kit and PPE. This is an opportunity for a newly qualified climber to gain experience in a new tree surgery business. I am looking to work with someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, polite and approachable. We will be working together throughout the day so I'd liked us to think on similar levels and be able to have a conversation together. It would also be good to bounce ideas off each other during jobs to get the best out of us both. At present the position is part-time but as the business grows it will be more regular, hopefully. Please send me an email if interested. [email protected] Thanks.
  5. Certified Climbers and Cutters wanted for commercial and domestic works, weekends and weekdays - Must have PPE and Tickets. Work available until Christmas and Beyond [email protected]
  6. Just been reading about the young lady who has given up work because she’s too pretty and has to fight off advances from men and jealousy from women (see the Mail and the Mirror online – links below). I’d like to assure anyone who considers employing me as a ground worker that I’m not too pretty and I’ve never fought off an advance in my life. I can’t afford to be that choosy. I’m also not a woman – sorry if I gave the wrong impression . But to get down to the real reason for this post – I’m a mature, enthusiastic, reliable worker, looking for occasional work or a permanent job. I have my own saws and equipment, PPE, and would provide my own fuel. I have CS30, 31 and 32, and LANTRA strimmer/brushcutter and pedestrian lawnmower. Emergency first aid at work, clean driving licence (Groups B, BE, C1, C1E, D1, D1E). I live in the Huntingdon area of Cambridgeshire but I could travel within reason. I think I’m a good team worker. I want to get more experience but I won’t get any sitting on my butt looking for work online. If anyone in the area needs a hand or two from time to time, please PM me or call/text on 07890-485865. Thanks for reading - Steve By the way; if you’re wondering what I’m talking about, here are the links to the articles: I'm TOO pretty to work: Graduate says her good looks means she's harassed and bullied - Mirror Online The woman who claims she is too pretty to take a job: Graduate 'hounded by sex pests and jealous females' | Mail Online
