DMM Impact Block, unused, MBS 200kN. Sold as part of a larger collection of equipment purchased to start a business but never sucessful. Located LL52 (north Wales).

  2. Just bought this DMM swivel carabiner. The shackle bit looks like it was not perfectly centered, when they drilled for the bolt? Thinner on one side. How much would this affect the strength of the device? Any thoughts?
  3. Here is an option for you captain hook guys. I love DMM and overall everything they do is with perfection but the DMM bag that is used for the captain hook is not quite sized right for my liking. A better option that i have found is the petzl L tool bag because it is sized just right for the hook and with the front 2 zippers to make the top opening larger makes feeding your rope attached to the hook easier to feed into the bag. Also the petzl bag seems to be a little more durable than the DMM tool bag. In the pictures below i have 50' of teufelberger km lll and the hook.
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_nG90WJ1jc For people who like to see trees being dismantled on the X axis, here is some footage from the dismantle of two beech trees August 2018 using the DMM Offya and DMM Deviant tyrolean system. Access for a crane was very tight (lane only just possible to fit a 3.5t van down) with no place to set the outriggers and space was limited in the garden itself (on a bank) to rig conventionally and drag by hand so we chose to use ropework to our advantage. This was the first useage of the Deviant in anger during validation so it was decided beforehand to set a modest working load of 500kgs for the system. Switch to 1080HD and enjoy!
  5. In need of a new kit bag. Really like the look and idea of the Courant cross pro kit bag but slap me and call me little miss Daisy if I'm going to spend that much on a kit bag. What's the best out there or are there any similar to the courant that I won't have do an entire day of contacting to be able to afford?

  7. I was just wondering if anyone had bought/used or had any experience with the new DMM iD smart tags for Loler. Does it work reliably? When you retro-fit a tag to any item does it actually stay on the item? It's probably fine if you're a fair-weather climber and look after your gear but what about climbing through wet/dense/slimy/ivy-covered trees and shoving it back in your bag to rot like most tree surgeons. I can imagine the zip-tie tag to a harness and other textile products staying attached but the sticky dot they provide for the caribeeners seems unlikely....and....if it's still there (on a rigging pulley) after a year will it still work??? Please any info would be appreciated
  8. We are proud to announce that we will be running a FREE* workshop with Taylor Hamel in conjunction with DMM! To makes things even better - there will also be FREE pizza! This will be reimbursed in the form of a £10 voucher to spend on DMM gear at TREEKIT. Because there are only limited places, we hope this nominal charge will prevent people from booking on but not turning up. 9. Here is the brand new Carabiner from DMM - The Rhino - In stock now. dmm-rhino-carabiner It was designed to prevent side loading of carabiners when used with a Pinto Pulley or Hitch Climber pulley. The nose on the biner stops it from working its way through and side loading. If only this was out a few months ago a certain mechanical prusik may have still been on the shelves now. At the moment we are the only dealer with these in stock and we have a limited amount. £15.11 Inc VAT dmm-rhino-carabiner

  13. Early 2010 saw the start of a major project by ISC to modernise a timeless classic. The ISC Cast Pulleys are probably the most widely used Pulley Blocks by Arborist's for rigging around the World. Originally developed in 1996 these blocks have been the backbone to most arborist's rigging situations and a tool every arborist both young and old has come to trust and respect. Like all classics there finally comes a time to make some changes. During the re-development of the pulley it was important to retain its classic features but introduce change. The new rounder profile enhances the whole tactile feel of the block and reduces the risk of burred or sharp edges that may wear a rigging rope. What's New Increased radius on all edges both internal and external All pulley details are now easily located on an Identification Plate The internal Spring Lock location hole is now honed out for easier location Increased internal width to accommodate larger diameter anchor slings Larger diameter top & bottom axles; Diameter increased by >10% What's Retained The classic ISC Pulley Block Shape The trusted and proven Spring Lock System eliminating chance of cross threading Same external dimensions (Length & Width) Same strengths as the previous versions CE certification to European Machinery Directive Currently available in two models IS-RP051-A1 SRP £89.00+vat IS-RP055-A1 £109.00+vat For further details and specifications please click here These can now be ordered and purchased from all good Arborist Supply Retailers ISC is a SPONSOR of the "ultimate arb competition" and these will be part of the prize fund.
