  7. Hi guys. Long time member/reader first time poster. I'm moving to Norway at the end July - August time. Going to a city called Stavanger. I'm going out there mainly to help my friend run a trampoline park! (I know it's a bit mental) so I'm not going to be desperate for work but I would still love to do a bit of tree work as i'll earn more money doing that. I'm currently a team leader for a company in the cheshire area with 9 years climbing experience and most of the relevant quals, so by no means a novice. I'm having a bit of trouble finding companies in that area. Only seem to find Oslo or Bergen. If anyone knows a company or a friend out there who could point me in the right direction that would be amazing. I may well end up doing a month in Oslo or Bergen as the park opening date has been pushed back a bit. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Josh:thumbup: ps: here's the trampoline park if anyones interested. not fully built yet but will be the size of a football pitch. https://www.facebook.com/Freedome-by-SkyZone-Norway-532434753588363/

  12. I'm looking for a forestry worker to start work towards the end of February. I currently have a lad working for me but he is going travelling on the 20th Feb and I'll be needing someone to take his place. The majority of my work is hand cutting so a minimum requirement will be the cross cut and small fell tickets. Experience with tractors would be a bonus but is not necessary. Willing to consider someone with any level of experience. I can provide kit and PPE. Give me a call on 07983602528
  13. I got my CS30/31 in November 2016 and have been working as a groundie since. I started on the railway but I'm waiting for a PTS course which was meant to be in early January, however the company aren't very forthcoming with the dates of my course and with moving house in February I can't solely rely on them. I've been working with a local arborist on domestic jobs but he can't provide a lot of work. I'm prepared to travel within 50 miles of Sheffield for days, nights & weekends. Temp work is ideal as I do intend to go back on the railway as soon as someone sorts my PTS out but I will stay for as long as someone needs me. I don't mind the odd day or night either if it's all you can offer. I'm currently self employed and have been for years so I'd prefer not to be employed. I don't have a saw but I do have access to a 261 or 440. I had intended to be back on the railway already and with my own saws but the year isn't going my way yet.
  14. Hi everyone, I recently completed the 10 week tree surgery subsidiary diploma at Otley college near Ipswich. With the course I obtained CS30, 31, 38 & 39 along with an EFAW + F first aid certificate. I have had some groundwork experience over the past summer as well. I live in Ipswich and there doesnt seem to be many full time positions avaliable around suffolk advertised for climbers or groundsman, does anybody know of any work avaliable? I was hoping to secure a full time position as at the moment I only have PPE, not climbing equipment or saws yet so setting up as a contractor at the moment being just out of training might put me at a disadvantage when looking for jobs compared to more expereinced people. Anyhow, happy new year to everyone. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers
