  1. Turn off of A120 towards Earls Colne. Travel for 1.5 miles aprrox towards Earls Colne from Coggeshall A120 Turn off. Tipping site is located opposite the farm yard via a concrete track. Call Sam for access.
  2. Hard wood, soft wood & mixed can be tipped free. Site is on farm directly adjoining A40 trunk road close to Penblewin roundabout just outside Narberth
  3. Hi Arb talkers! if anyone is in need to clear there yards/sites or have clearance work coming up we would be happy to assist with, further information can be provided via pm or ask for contact details,
  4. We are at 133 Reigate Road, Epsom, Surrey. KT17 3DE. Tel: 020 8393 1095. Here is an up to date pricelist for our Green Waste Recycling Facility. We look forward to seeing you soon! pricelist 2019.rtf Our opening times are Mon - Fri. 0730 - 1600. Saturday 0730 - 1200.
  5. We can offer a free tip site for all tree surgery waste, wood chippings and waste timber. We are a smallholding with livestock, specifically goats so if logs/wood chip contains Rhododendron, Yew, Privet, or anything else known to be toxic to animals then please let us know ahead of time so we can store/use it separately. Please call ahead for access. There are two possible dump locations depending on amount/type and whether animal safe.
  6. We seem to be producing more chip than we can get rid of (for free) at the moment and I’m constantly looking for new tip sites. We have at least a transit van load a day, if not more and we have a few places that take the loads for free, but if we cannot find somewhere to tip (for free), we either dump it in our field (access is poor - can only just about get a transit down the track and around a sharp bend) or we have to take to somewhere like Colliers and pay to get rid which is quite pricey! I’m interested to hear how others in the industry manage their chip. What do you do with it and is there another way of making a profit from such a sort after material? Thanks in advance, Sophie
  7. Wood chips & hardwood accepted. Both need to be clean, no roots, no branches, no mud, no weeds, Please call ahead to book in delivery. Look for Sustainable Farms on the map, don't look at the red pointer for the postcode as its 500m south of our correct location.
  8. Hello all, I wanted to see if there was any interested parties out there who may want some Timber from a site we are likely to fell near Windsor Berkshire. The timber is a mixture of Oak, Holly, Yew, Sweet Chestnut, Lime and a small amount of softwood. Im either interested in hearing from people who want it and can pick it up in cord length from the site, ( No Cherry picking) It will be free. Another option is just to chip it all! Any one who has a large whole tree chipper and can get rid of the chip too, I appreciate this will not be a free service. The site is perfect for artics, and has some hard standing for processing and removal. I estimate there is approx 60 tone may be a bit more. Thanks, Alistair Magee. 07886028830, message me here on arbtalk.
  9. We are on a job in Somercotes and have a load of woodchip and logs to get rid of which are mainly conifer. Can anyone help with this or know of any green waste recycling centres locally that will take it? Thanks in advance. Dan K 07843 680483
  10. Can I change anything to my chipper to get less long chip bits as shown in photo? I prefer tiny cubes all over.. Or is it just the material that goes in being responsible?
  11. Anyone know of someone with a biomass standard chipper (G30 or G50) available to hire with operator in Cornwall/West Devon? Ideally as far West as possible as I'd need them to chip for about an hour every six weeks (ca. 36 cubic metres at a time), so don't want to be stung for travel costs. Thanks.
  12. Where does the law stand on the classification of chip, logs and arisings from construction sites (development sites, road schemes, highways works, etc. etc.)? Many construction clients are now stating that this material should be moved, stored and "treated" as a waste. Some of our subcontractors are also running into this problem. For example, if you remove demolition timber, or old fencing from a site, you have to operate under a full Waste Management Licence. This involves WAMITAB qualification and using consignment notes. As far as we can see, the Environment Agency https://www.gov.uk/search?q=wood+waste&filter_organisations[]=environment-agency has no obvious guidance on their website, so does anyone have the facts on what the law says?
  13. hi guys, anyone know of a site i can tip a load of woodchip near bournemouth/dorset? cheers
  14. Hi, I have posted on Arbtalk about our tip site a few times. We are an arable farm that is EA permitted to take green waste and chip/logs. We are now calling ourselves Cheshire Green Waste and a website will follow later in the year. There is no charge for tipping good quality chip and logs (but must be separated). Once you register with us you can drop in our large tip yard whenever you want. Our address is Tanyard Farm, Castle Mill Lane, Ashley, Cheshire WA15 0QT. We are minutes from junction 6 of the M56. Email me at [email protected] Mobile: 07535 025888 Richard
  15. Hello, A neighbouring farmer and I are considering putting in a plant which will produce heat and electricity. Some of the heat will probably be used at a nearby school, and we plan to use some on the farm for crop drying etc. I was wondering if anyone on here has experience with contract wood drying? Ideally someone would drop off a lorry load of green chips (ideal) or cordwood. We'd then take it down to 10-20% MC, and they'd come and pick it up a few days later. Does anyone know how much we might get £ / ton or even if there is demand for this kind of service? We are in the Bromyard area so the M5 is pretty close and there are some big woods nearby. Willk
  16. Im just setting up in the Bolton area and im in dire need of somewhere that will take logs/ wodchip etc. Any help is greatly apreciated. Also, i was wondering if its economically viable to set up my own yard and sell the chip/ logs on. Who would buy it, licences etc. Anybody got any thoughts??????
  17. Hi, If anyone needs a tip site for woodchips let me know, I'm near Tunbridge Wells (TN12). Thanks
  18. Does anyone know of any Rayburn/Aga style cookers that can be fuelled by woodchip (from a store, preferably not every couple of hours)? I've seen a few that use pellets but nothing with chip which we have a supply of already. Any advice is welcome, we are looking for one that will heat water and cook like a traditional Rayburn.
  19. Looking for a site to tip logs and woodchip, would be everyday for roughly 3 weeks. Lads are staying in digs and it would be a big trip everyday there and back. Willing to give it away. Cant guarantee how much there will be. Starting in the next few months. Send me an email or PM me. Regards Tom
  20. We have a job in Bracknell coming up this week with a fair quantity of woodchip and maybe logs to remove from site. Does anyone know of tip sites locally? Or anyone with a yard prepared to take it; we are based in Kent so running back to our yard could be a problem if we have more than one load per day. Don't know more detail yet about location or quantity. If anyone can help either reply on here or you can email me [email protected] Thanks in advance Laurence
  21. Anyone else get a call about less money being offered on your Biomass woodchip?
  22. Hi All, I have a job up in Wakefield on Monday and need to find somewhere I can dispose a couple trailer loads of woodchip and some lengths of hard wood. Can anyone help? I would take it home but obviously have a shipper with me and moving on to another job on Tuesday, plus its a little far from home. Thanks Tom
  23. Hello everyone, I'm new here, am hoping someone can help me out; I'm currently fighting an oversized and weed infested allotment plot along with the help of my brother, it's currently made up of too wide raised beds and grass paths but this autumn/winter we're hoping to make it into a more mangable and better yielding food plot by utilising some permaculture techniques; namely hugelkultur raised beds combined with some 'back to eden' style wood mulch paths and bed covers. (If anyone is curious to read up head over to the permies website, lots of interesting stuff over there). ...Hence the request for logs and woodchip, not fussed if the chips are not uniform, partially composted and full of leaves...in fact this would probably be ideal, looking for a mix of soft hard wood logs approx up to 10ft long no more than 10inch in diameter (for the sake of not killing myself whilst lifting them) and in any state of decay, (as long as they hold together whilst being moved) along with various pruned branches/brush material to layer things up. I have a problem in that i don't have a vehcle to pickup material so would require delivery to Bolton, our plot is on the allotment next to Haslam Park, if anyone can help with the above criteria feel free to chuck me a quote of suitable recompense for what you can offer. Cheers! Baz
  24. I have been a tree surgeon for 11 years and am getting a business plan together to go it alone. One thing that I'm struggling with is how or where to dispose of chippings?! Does anyone have any info that may be useful in finding somewhere? Also any advice on getting started in general would be much apreciated. Many thanks.
  25. hi everyone, could any one give me advice on the best way to burn wood chip please? at the moment i am tipping on a farmers field but he wants me to burn as much as the wood chip as i can, or am i just waisting my time trying? any advice would be good thanks
