    Free, Quick & Easy Tip

We are looking to work with a couple of reliable arborists allowing the free tip of logs / chorded wood and clean chip Please get in contact if you would like to use this site in the future as a reliable tip site. If you are in the area working and need a short notice tip, again, please just call/text ahead to arrange. Note: You will not be able to access this site without prior notice / arrangement.

Large area able accept all types of timber, for domestic use.
  3. Hi all, I’m looking for a site in the Cranbrook Kent area that I can use to get rid of green waste every now and again. Does anybody know of anywhere? Cheers. Jake
  4. due to being out of the tree game for a while and my contacts no longer in the game either im looking for a man with van and chipper to remove the trees i have cut down in my garden, based in the bridgend area of south wales
  5. Looking at the wood pile and need a top up pretty soon. I’m looking for ideally a full (20t) load of lengths, preferably hardwood. I am between Dumbarton and Helensburgh and just need it for our own domestic use (7t p/yr). Happy to arrange transport if needed. Any leads greatly appreciated.
  6. Wood chips & hardwood accepted. Both need to be clean, no roots, no branches, no mud, no weeds, Please call ahead to book in delivery. Look for Sustainable Farms on the map, don't look at the red pointer for the postcode as its 500m south of our correct location.
  7. First post so I hope that I have done it in the right section... I run a small sole trader garden maintenance business that is still in it's start-up period. When ever I have done bush clearance, tree pruning, small tree removal, hedge cutting and removal I have always just dragged the waste to my trailer and taken it to the local tip to dispose of the waste using my trade waste licence. But from now on things have changed at the local tip making it very hard to get rid of any volume of waste. I also get the impression that trade waste will soon be refused. I have not budgeted for this change and it looks like I will need to get my first chipper... I am looking to get a 4" / 100mm chipper that I can get in to residential properties and transport around fairly easily. I would therefore be grateful for some advice on what to go for. I don't want anything that is cheap and nasty One option I have been looking at is the Greenmech CS100 but I had not budgeted for this situation. So is it worth breaking the bank for one or is there equally as good cheaper options with a good engine? Also is there any creative advice on off loading the wood chippings with out paying to dispose of them at the local tip? (I should point out that I operate from a residential location so I can't store them to sell on to customers further down the road). All advice is welcome
  8. Where does the law stand on the classification of chip, logs and arisings from construction sites (development sites, road schemes, highways works, etc. etc.)? Many construction clients are now stating that this material should be moved, stored and "treated" as a waste. Some of our subcontractors are also running into this problem. For example, if you remove demolition timber, or old fencing from a site, you have to operate under a full Waste Management Licence. This involves WAMITAB qualification and using consignment notes. As far as we can see, the Environment Agency https://www.gov.uk/search?q=wood+waste&filter_organisations[]=environment-agency has no obvious guidance on their website, so does anyone have the facts on what the law says?
  9. hi guys, anyone know of a site i can tip a load of woodchip near bournemouth/dorset? cheers

    help!

Hi I was just wondering the right route to go about getting rid of brash, I recently had a quote accepted for a job which is not big enough to warrant me hiring a chipper. Im based in bridgend area of south wales and would really appreciate any help on this matter
  11. Hi guys looking for some help to get rid of everbodys favourite waste, conifur! Working in coventry at the above postcode this saturday and sunday and would rather not take the waste back in all 5 trucks down the motorway back to Leicestershire. Job will just be logs and chip. Any help is great! Taaaa!
  12. As a tree surgeon taking logs and chippings from a job and transporting the chippings to a school (play areas) and logs to either myself or whomever wants them; do I require an Environmental Permit from the Env. Agency to carry waste? http://www.netregs.gov.uk/netregs/275207/1991727/1991805/?version=1〈=_e As I see it the answer's a (grey area) no as "waste exemptions include crushing, grinding or other size reduction of waste". I am chipping and I am reducing the size of the waste therefore according to EA's website I am exempt from requiring an Environment Permit (otherwise known as waste carrying licence). Does anyone have concrete facts on this?
