Hello everyone, I am trying to find two part time staff to work 3 days a week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. This would suit a trainee level or experienced person who doesn't want to work full time. We are normally overwhelmed with work all summer and are seriously full now, so the 3 days a week is a minimum and a full week is quite likely. The positions will be at least 6 months and quite possibly permanent. We're a nice company to work for, literlally nobody here has ever taken someone's life or stolen a car and gone ram-raiding. Sometimes we just spend the day saving the lives of woodlice that have found themselves in a spot of peril. One of us is even a vegetarian and will only eat animals if they have died by misadventure. I will pay you £83 a day, which is based on a self-employed basis, so own PPE and climbing equipment. It's basically £22,000 a year if you were foolish enough to work without any days off. We usually do 5 to 20 hours of overtime at time and a half. So realistically your average daily pay will work out to about £95 and therefore a salary band of £24k. CS38 alone is an absolute minimum requirement, please do not apply if you cannot rescue someone from a tree. Hello everyone, I have successfully hired my last 4 people off here, so here I am again. I need a new trainee with their own PPE to work on a day rate of £75pd, either part time or full time, this is because The Owl is leaving us and going to Sweden which is a shame, apparently there's a good woman there I need CV's please. I am half inclined to take on someone with plenty of climbing experience for £21,000 (plus 28 days holiday), but it is very important that you aren't pathalogically grumpy because I will notice. Good evening all. Could anyone offer any advice as to whether the tree pictured here is 'too' close to the house? The picture isn't particuarly well scaled but the tree trunk is roughly in line with the door and the distance from door to trunk is just over 6 meters. The house is a new build, the tree has a TPO on it. The house was built taking into account the root protection area. The tree is a purple maple and is approx 10 meters tall. The council tree officer has advised that tree crown reduction would most likely be approved. We had an arborist look at it and they advised that they didn't expect it would cause any problems. The house is in Lancashire - so a wet climate and not particuarly clay soil. Any input greatfully recieved!

A friend and colleague of mine has developed a tent which can be suspended from anchor points in trees it's called Tentsile and has applications in leisure, exploration, forestry, and humanitarian releif. Hello everyone, We're looking for a new junior with recent tickets, we're a good company in which to get quick experience and every employee here loves their job. Fun is permissible, in small quantities, and we're a conscientious team that gets through a lot of work. We are slightly imbalanced towards ginger hair-types, although this will not affect your chances of employment. This is ideal for someone with recent cs30,31,38,39 tickets who wants to be doing proper climbing stuff quite quickly. The pay is £355 a week with 10 to 20 hrs overtime a month at time and a half, so £200 extra if you're lucky. I anticipate this role will be temporary until late autumn, but if workload permits then we'll keep you on indefinitely, give you a payrise etc. As long as you haven't cut anything off, then you'll be in the Bahamas with the insurance pay-off wishing you could pick up a beer with your preferred hand. Hello anyone, I need a new part timer to make up a part time team, to be paid on a day rate which we will negotiate. We're a small company based in Wimbledon consisting of 3 and half humans and one owl. I want someone else to phone up and book in for a few days at a time depending on availability etc. Please don't apply if you are pathologically grumpy, or if you don't like owls or rock-climbers. Hi there, I was wondering if anybody has used cardboard around the bottom of newly planted trees as a method of weed control. What are the pros and cons of doing this? Is there a possibility that the cardboard might draw moisture from the soil during drier periods? Would it be a good idea to put a mulch on top such as wood chips/grass cuttings to weight it down? Any advice would be great. Thanks

Hello everyone, it's time for the next addition to our company trees-london.com, things have gone pretty well over the last 3 years so I'm looking for someone RELIABLE and CONSCIENTIOUS. If you are obsessed with whittling then please don't apply because the trucks are full of shavings already because of James The way I work is to pretty much give you everything you want and let you get on with it, there is a quarterly company bonus scheme that has varied over the last few years from £pffft to £500 after tax. We usually do 5 to 20 hours overtime a month at time and a half. I need someone straightforward and motivated who just gets on with their work, as with any tree company the overall success is down to people pulling their weight. We like to keep things relaxed, but there's a lot to do! You must have aerial rescue and basic felling because I can't use you otherwise. You will be working in a team of 2 or 3 doing all the usual stuff in pretty much any area we can get to within an hour. hi guys! passed my basic tree inspection last week and loved it so much booked into the professional one for may time i dont think im compitent yet but would be very greatful if i could get some tips hints in what to expect and more importantly what to revise also if anyone still has the current work book i would be prepared to buy it for some tips cheers ciaran glyde

hi i have just qualified from Cannington college and am 29 and based in highbridge (somerset),I am still stuck working in a warehouse at the moment :-( is there anyone out there that could give me a day or two work, i am available sat, tues and weds, I am unfortunately reliant on buses/trains at the moment but am willing to travel to where ever i can. i really want some experience in the trade so any help would be appreciated, thanks, Jay
