  1. Hello everyone, I am trying to find two part time staff to work 3 days a week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. This would suit a trainee level or experienced person who doesn't want to work full time. We are normally overwhelmed with work all summer and are seriously full now, so the 3 days a week is a minimum and a full week is quite likely. The positions will be at least 6 months and quite possibly permanent. We're a nice company to work for, literlally nobody here has ever taken someone's life or stolen a car and gone ram-raiding. Sometimes we just spend the day saving the lives of woodlice that have found themselves in a spot of peril. One of us is even a vegetarian and will only eat animals if they have died by misadventure. I will pay you £83 a day, which is based on a self-employed basis, so own PPE and climbing equipment. It's basically £22,000 a year if you were foolish enough to work without any days off. We usually do 5 to 20 hours of overtime at time and a half. So realistically your average daily pay will work out to about £95 and therefore a salary band of £24k. CS38 alone is an absolute minimum requirement, please do not apply if you cannot rescue someone from a tree. Please DO get in touch if the specifics of these positions don't quite meet your requirements, I want good staff and can be flexible. I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks, Tom [email protected]
  2. Hello everyone, We're looking for a new junior with recent tickets, we're a good company in which to get quick experience and every employee here loves their job. Fun is permissible, in small quantities, and we're a conscientious team that gets through a lot of work. We are slightly imbalanced towards ginger hair-types, although this will not affect your chances of employment. This is ideal for someone with recent cs30,31,38,39 tickets who wants to be doing proper climbing stuff quite quickly. The pay is £355 a week with 10 to 20 hrs overtime a month at time and a half, so £200 extra if you're lucky. I anticipate this role will be temporary until late autumn, but if workload permits then we'll keep you on indefinitely, give you a payrise etc. As long as you haven't cut anything off, then you'll be in the Bahamas with the insurance pay-off wishing you could pick up a beer with your preferred hand. Please email me if you're interested - [email protected] I look forward to hearing from you, Tom
  3. Hello anyone, I need a new part timer to make up a part time team, to be paid on a day rate which we will negotiate. We're a small company based in Wimbledon consisting of 3 and half humans and one owl. I want someone else to phone up and book in for a few days at a time depending on availability etc. Please don't apply if you are pathologically grumpy, or if you don't like owls or rock-climbers. It could be quite permanent depending on our workload, but I cannot promise anything because that's life. We operate automatic time and half and usually do 10 to 25 hours a month. Please send CV's or a quick summary of your details to [email protected] Website Tree management services in London and across the UK - Microbee Kind regards, Tom
  4. Hello everyone! We recently employed a climber who found my previous advert on Arbtalk, he's still here, and he doesn't look too miserable at all. He almost seems chirpy. I now need a trainee climber or groundsman to work with him, we WILL train you if you prove yourself and we think you won't immediately leave, this is not an empty promise. We're a pretty relaxed company undertaking all aspects of tree work, we just want to continue doing good work without any shouty bosses and such like. Microbee is a small company at the moment with a good amount of work. I'm looking forward to hiring a genuinely conscientious individual who wants an environment to grow into a good arborist. I look forward to hearing from you! Please send CV's to [email protected] or call 0208 540 9968. Cheers, Tom.
