  4. Good morning, I'm looking for a keen trainee climber fresh from getting tickets or a groundsman that might climb occasionally (but not a grumpy one) to join our team in South West London (Wimbledon Area). We need to replace someone that just can't get out of bed often enough to remain working here, I've told him lots of times, maybe thirty times? Please send a CV or a personal summary to [email protected] and we will arrange a trial day. Best regards, Tom Microbee offer professional and affordable tree management surgery and services in London and across the UK
  5. Climber required - An experienced climber, you must have excellent organisational and people skills. Must have CS30,31,38 & 39. CS40 & 41 preferable. Must have at least 2 years experience in commercial arboriculture. Driver licence would be preferable. We have a passion for tree work and nature. Have a look at our website to understand a bit more about us. Cut Above Tree Management We carry out specailised tree work in The Dulwich Estate, from reductions to very large dismantles. Initially, the role will be to work along side me and share the climbing, with a view to taking greater control over the climbing in the future. We are a small company with a big reputation and need to have an experienced climber to help us move forward. This would be a perfect role for an experienced climber wanting to take pride in their work and having the time to do it. Please fill out a form on my website and I will contact you accordingly. Best wishes Hamish [email protected]
  6. I have had a pear tree cut down and the logs are stacked ready for cutting into planks. There are about 8 lengths between 12-18” diameter as shown in the attached photo. There is a 3 foot wide concrete slab space adjacent to where the wood is stacked. If this is not adequate size for the saw, a larger saw could be parked in the street. This would require the logs being carried up an outside metal staircase and to the front gate. I live in Camberwell, London, SE5 I’d like to get a cost estimate for this work. 7. Calling on all arborists, tree surgeons, horticulturist, gardener or similar professionals working with trees in the London Boroughs. I am conducting a confidential survey to gather information that will help our efforts and those of our partners to limit the population, spread and impact of the pest species Oak Processionary Moth (OPM). This pest is known to be present in several boroughs in West London, the Bromley and Croydon areas of South London, and the Spelthorne and Elmbridge Districts of Surrey. The purpose of the survey is to gather information which will help us to better understand how arboricultural, landscaping and gardening businesses operate in London. In turn, our better understanding of those working in the OPM-affected areas will allow us to more effectively manage this pest in the future. I can reassure you that your information will be treated in the strictest confidence, and nothing in the final survey report will identify any individual business. So to help us manage this pest more effectively, I would invite you to complete the short, on-line survey at http://bit.ly/OPM-survey And if you know other similar professionals who might not have heard about this survey, please also encourage them to take part. Further information about OPM is available on our website at Forestry Commission - Pests & Diseases - Oak Processionary Moth. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this important matter.
  8. Ground Control are one of the U.K.’s most established landscape solutions providers and we are looking to immediately expand the commercial grounds maintenance contract for the borough of Wandsworth with the advent of three new field teams. We are looking for smart and presentable teams of 2 or 3 who: • own their own van and garden maintenance tools • have solid experience with maintaining commercial gardens • are business minded with a driven entrepreneurial desire who want to expand • are available to take on extra work in the borough of SW London, (Twickenham, Teddington, Richmond, Hounslow, Kingston-upon-Thames, Feltham, Hampton, Surbiton, Moseley, Walton-on-Thames and surrounding areas) (An NPTC PA1 PA6a spraying certificate would also be an advantage, but not compulsory as training for this can be provided.) We have full and part-time positions available for the right teams. If you would like to be considered or would simply like to know more, please contact John Psota-Jenkins at Ground Control on 07912 184524, or email [email protected]

  11. My name is Ross Taylor, i am currently living in the manor house area of london and working as a second climber in battersea. I will be moving further east at the end of the month so will be looking for some thing a bit more convenient for me. If there is a possibility of just a few days here and there i would still be interested I have a full clean driving license and my own climbing kit, I am still not as quick as others hence the second climber but am keen to learn and better my self every day when the opportunity is given, i would prefer to stay self employed ideally with a smaller company doing residential work. My phone number is 07713865613, i would love to hear from you if you are at all interested. thanks a lot.
  12. Hi all, I need to clear some space in my wood storage area, and I don't have the time or manpower to convert it into firewood sales this winter, so... If there is a firewood merchant out there who wants to stock up, let me know - the wood is free. There's a big pile, I would hazard there is 30 ton but really that's a very rough guess. The vast majority is hardwood, and most of it has been in situ for a year or more. You can access the site with a 7.5tonne lorry, any time of day. Alternatively, if anyone wants just a little slice of the action that's fine too. The area is W11 / NW10, Kensal Green, London.
  13. Hello my name is Ross Taylor, I am 23 and have been in tree surgery for 6 years, i live in east London and am currently not happy with the company i am working with due to lack of communication, (have traveled an hour to work at least 8 times in 2 months only to find out there is no work) they don't using lowering ropes and the list could go on..... so i'm looking elsewhere. I have my own climbing kit and soon hope to have my own saw, i am comfortable in the tree doing take downs, reductions, pruning ect. sometimes may just need a bit of guidance doing things or just a heads up of a more efficient way of doing things, i am a hard worker and really enjoy the job, if you are interested i'd love to hear from you, my number is 07713865613. thanks alot, Ross taylor.
