  1. Looking to buy a Jo-Beau B24-100. Does anyone have one for sale in the UK by chance? Cheers👍
  2. I am an owner of my second Jo beau machine and currently still own two, the M500 and M400. Last week the throttle cable housing had got chewed up for the M500. I give Global Recycling a call for a replacement and they come back to me with a price of £200! I nearly fell off my chair! I told them straight and said I ain't paying £200 for a cable and a cheap throttle lever, I'll repair it myself. Jo Beau don't sell the cable separately. You have to buy the throttle and cable together, so they can rip you off with their daft prices. I figured I could buy some mountain bike brake cable and crimps and thread the original steel cable through the new housing and it worked a charm. It cost me £8 and an hour's work and works lovely. This is what Jo Beau are charging £200 for. No fancy engineering here. Anyone with the same issue, save your money.
  3. Good evening, I wondered if anybody knew where I can get a chipper drum shaft repaired for a Jo Beau M400. It's a used/second hand machine and I went to fit new blades and found a problem with the drum. After stripping down the machine found one bearing was seized and this has worn the shaft where the shaft runs through the bearing at the pulley end. Having bought the blades and spares from Global Recycling (Jo Beau dealer) I contacted them to get a quote to for a new drum, as wasn't sure if it could be repaired. I was quoted £773.14 + VAT + delivery for new drum (will need pair of new bearing too). They have advised me to try to get it repaired locally, I'm near Derby. Anyone know any good engineering firms that do these sort of repairs? Neil
  4. Hi, I am running an 18 month old j b m300 pro chipper, and am having problems with the alum bolts that hold the funnel on. There are (were) 8 of these bolts and 3 have now sheared whilst in use -not whilst tightening. They have not been over tightened, and have the original washer fitted. Last job I was running on just 6 bolts (one in each corner + 1 each side), but keeping an eye on them and one rattled loose. On inspection that was half sheared through. I Have now ordered a new set so I have some spares. Anyone else had problems with this?
  5. I am trying to get hold of a Jo beau m300. I have a previous thread saying I am also looking out for the greenmech cs100. Wondered if anyone had either for sale. Wanna be in the wee chipper club. Think I am leaning toward the Jo beau. Sorry stevie have read all of you posts on Gloria!!! And there are a few Cash waiting any distance as long as the machine is in good working order Thanks guys
  6. Hi I have recently been finding my own work on weekends, great. But as I have no chipper I have to hire one from chippertech in old Newton suffolfk. Daniel there does me a great deal but I just can't put this cost on to a little local job where a chipper is needed. The customer will not pay the sort of money I need to charge. And as we all know they will not wait till I can string a few small ones together One solution is to buy a hydrolic chipper, but my budget will not cater for a half decent one. The other my favoured option is to get a cs100 and when a big job comes in hire one from Daniel@chipper tech Thoughts and offers of cs100's please.
