Hi Guys & Girls, Moving to the North East (Hartlepool) in a month or so (Mrs has a new job), what is the work availability like, generally speaking? Are there regulars on here from the same area of County Durham at the moment? Any feedback would be helpful with regards to your own experiences from starting out in this area. (Have certs 30,31,32,33,38,39, PA1 spraying, cscs & will refresh my first aid before the move. Also had approx. 700 hrs geo and structures Rope access experience although IRATA has expired now). Full time opportunity available to work with a small Forestry contractor based in Cheltenham. I mainly cover Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean. Work mostly involves hand cutting and tractor work with some tree planting in the winter. Current employee will be leaving in December to join the army but it would be good to have some overlap if possible. Pay is on day-rate and is paid weekly but will be dependent on experience. All PPE and saws etc will be provided and further training can be provided for serious applicants. Cross cutting and small fell tickets are a minimum requirement. Please send C.V. Along with taking responsibility for majority of the tree work you will also need to be willing to do hedge cutting, log cutting and the occasional grass cutting. Two guys looking for work We've recently taken a 3 week course to gain our qualifications. Achieved: CS30 CS31 CS38 CS39 chipper we live in Cheshire but are happy to commute if needs be. Want to gain as much experience as possible. We are happy to negotiate wage just to get work quickly. We are both hard working and have worked with each other for the last 4 years doing technical checks for off ground activity bases e.g zip wires and climbing walls. Fancied a change in role and to broaden our climbing knowledge. we are also happy to just take groundsman roles if need be as long as we can work closely with climbers to learn and experience the role.
