  11. Hi, finished for the season and the farmer wants his barn back. Not sure how many m3 there are but you should be able to judge by the photos, although I have used some cord since I took the photos. It is all 2-3 years seasoned and has made excellent kindling. Access directly from the farmyard with no height restrictions so easy to get at. Ideally one person needs to take the lot as seen in order to completely clear the barn. PM me if interested. Cheers.
  12. Hi All Im a private individual looking for a bulk load of hard or soft wood. Im looking for circa 20 - 30 m3. All wood will be sawn and split and hence happy to take oddments within reason. Im looking for the wood either delivered or can arrange transport Would really appreciate and leads and prices if possible. Best Roger
  13. I have two large(ish) Sycamores coming down in March and at the moment my yard is full of timber and I have nowhere for the timber from these trees. Both trees are in a front garden and close to the road (with a 2.5m tall hedge between them and road), and near Stamford, Lincs.. Anyone interested? I will consider all offers. One tree has a lot of flaking bark at the base and the crown is not too clever (a couple of large snapped limbs in the last couple of years) - so I suspect the timber from that tree wouldn't be up to much for milling/turning but should be useful for firewood but I'm not sure about the other. T1 is ~25m tall, has dbh~1m and bifurcates at ~4m into two ~40-50cm stems T2 is ~18m tall, dbh ~0.7m and bifurcates at ~3m into two stems
  14. Hi, We are based in South Shropshire and have a volume of cut and split hardwood logs ready at the road side for collection. very low £ per m3. Cord wood also available. Please contact for more details.
  15. Hi, Looking for two cords worth of any size unseasoned unprocessed hardwood for personal use / stocking up for next winter. Price should include delivery (Glasgow southside, easy access). Call me on 0141 419 0899 (after 6pm) or PM. Many thanks, Cris
  16. Hi - very much a newbie here so please bear with me. I happen to have a very large barn that has roughly 60M2 rectangular area with concrete floor that is truck accessible and is ideal for firewood processing plus seasoning. If anyone knows of good Forestry or trade sources local to Shropshire that supply bulk timber (to 25T deliveries) then please do pass them on. I'd be looking for mixed hard and soft wood (though majority soft as this predominates the local market and is reflected in pricing) and recon I could process and store around 250 tons per year initially with ease and 500T if I wanted to dog myself. I think beyond 1000T (allowing for 1 year seasoning) the barn space may start to be cluttered. I will not be able to process trunk sizes larger than 12 inches (without upgrading splitter) so preferably looking for trunk sized on the smaller size from telegraph pole thickness to 12 inches thickness. If anyone has quantities available ready to load in good manageable lengths then let me know pricing roadside or delivered. I have plenty of haulier contacts so arranging grab trailer pickup myself isn't a problem though distance from Shropshire may be for cost. Any words of wisdom on retailing firewood also welcome. This will be a sideline enterprise for me basically inspired out of the mediocre quality and questionable quantity delivered relative to advertised firewood available from several local suppliers.
