My name is Ross Taylor, i am currently living in the manor house area of london and working as a second climber in battersea. I will be moving further east at the end of the month so will be looking for some thing a bit more convenient for me. If there is a possibility of just a few days here and there i would still be interested I have a full clean driving license and my own climbing kit, I am still not as quick as others hence the second climber but am keen to learn and better my self every day when the opportunity is given, i would prefer to stay self employed ideally with a smaller company doing residential work. Down To Earth Trees Ltd is an established Arboricultural Association approved contractor based near Sevenoaks, Kent with a large client base in both the private and commercial sector. Due to an increase in our workload, we are looking to recruit both experienced Climbers and a Groundsman. We are looking for people who are passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated who are keen to provide a high quality service to our customers. The Climbers must have a minimum of 2-3 years’ climbing experience with the minimum NPTC qualifications: CS30, 31, 38, 39 or the new QFC industry equivalent, Brushwood Chipper, First Aid and a clean driving licence, with the ability to tow according to current DVLA regulations (B+E), (LGV licence beneficial and Construction Skills Certification Scheme CSCS desirable). In addition we are looking for an experienced Groundsman to primarily undertake our stump grinding operations, who is mechanically minded, passionate and enthusiastic. Applicants must have experience and as a minimum the following qualifications: NPTC: CS30, 31, or the new QFC industry equivalent, Level 2 in the Safe Use of a Stump Grinder and Brushwood Chipper, First Aid. I currently looking to get a working holiday visa in Australia (specifically Brisbane) and just need a few tips on how to go about looking for work etc. its all a bit confusing I have a level 3 extended diploma in arboriculture and if you can count training over 2 years I have experience there along with roughly 6 months working with my current employer. The nptc tickets I have are: CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, Chipper, Pole Pruner, Mewp, Rigging, Stump grinder Just need a bit of a push in the right direction as its all very overwhelming but something that i'm extremely keen on getting the ball rolling. Trying to reach out to any employers out there in aus who are reading this or anyone who is employed there! Any help is greatly appreciated!
