Dear all, I’m a sub-contracting climber/ground man based in Tunbridge Wells looking for work on an ad hoc basis for companies who do good, conscientious tree work. I ran my own company, Shadow of the Apple Tree, for 14 years, and have 15 years climbing experience. I currently use SRT or Ddrt depending on the job. I’m also happy hedge-trimming. Climber/groundsman required for Arb Association Approved contracting business covering the Cleveland/Teesside region of North Yorkshire. The role requires excellent communication skills in order to liase effectively with customers and team members. The post holder will also need to understand and implement industry best practice and current industry legislation, and assist other staff in carrying out equipment & vehicle checks in accordance with LOLER and PUWER legislation. The applicant must hold the equivalent of CS38/39 and will preferrably have experience of advanced technical dismantling methods(CS41). A high standard of aerial pruning techniques is also required(CS40 desirable). A clean driving licence is essential (trailer licence desirable). References will be required. PPE provided. Talking Elm Tree Services provide Domestic and Commercial arboricultural services from our office/yard which is based just outside of Norwich. We are currently looking for a new member to join our team initially, we can offer 2-3 days a week as a contractor, with the aim to expand our operations. Ideally we are looking for a minimum of a Second climber abilities (CS30,31,38 and 39 or equivalent) with a driving license. We would however welcome experienced climbers and can offer training to the right candidate.
