  21. Hello Everyone, I need a climbery groundie to work on a negotiated day rate, for at least a few months. We are a small to mid-sized company, 2 or 3 teams, that work for Housing Associations, Managing Agents and a few London Boroughs. CS 30,31,38,39 as a bare minimum please. We generally have a good time, nobody has been seen creeping into the chipper with a tear in their eye, anyway. We go THROUGH THE HOUSE about once a week which always causes a lot of emotion, but I think most companies do this. We are pretty relaxed, but with a keen focus on getting everything right and keeping everyone safe. Please get in touch if you fancy a change, or want to discuss anything about us. CV's or personal summary please to [email protected] Many thanks! Tom
  22. Hi folks, we do maintenance and landscaping in West Yorkshire, mainly in north Leeds and north of Leeds, but have no tree qualifications or kit. We get asked about lowering, pruning, getting rid of trees (felling), etc, quite a lot and it's a shame to have to say no without having somebody we could recommend instead. So I'm posting here instead of lurking, a first for me. We can be flexible, anything from we pass our enquiry on to you in the hopes you may pass whatever you can't do on to us, we handle the customer side being guided by you so you are by that fact subcontracting to us, or we would be willing to consider your proposal as to how we should work together. We'd prefer to work with a freelancer or very small team. We would need to see your credentials and insurance and you are welcome to see ours. Note: we don't have tree kit, whether PPE or to do the job with, as already said so you either need your own or be prepared to give hire guidelines. So, firstly, have I posted in the right place? If not, which of the Arbtalk forums should I ask on? Followed by, have I given enough information for you to be able to point me in the right direction? Or even to offer your services? Finally, being new to the arborial scene, I find the "in-the-know" labelling a bit confusing in spite of having visited the site a few times before signing up. Is there a term for the individual or team described above? For instance, I see "climber" and "groundsman" around here a lot, whereas clients tend to refer to "tree surgeons". Are they one and the same or very different things?
