  1. Groundsman/trainee 2nd climber wanted in Putney, London Hardy Tree Surgeons is a small tree surgery business based in Putney, London which has been in business for over 17 years. We pride ourselves on having excellent customer relations, being extremely careful whilst carrying out all jobs and leaving sites cleaner than when we arrived! We have a strong work ethic carrying out work that is best for the tree this often means we take longer to carry out the work but with better short and importantly long-term results. We always spend a bit longer to make sure the work is carried out to the highest standard rather than having targets to hit which can cause jobs to be rushed. We have not needed to advertise for over 8 years as the majority of our work is through recommendations and repeat work. We carry out a wide variety of work, ranging from small fruit trees to mature 200 year old oaks; courtyard gardens to private woodlands,golf courses, survey work, lots of rigging, installing bat boxes and even abseiling eyebolts! 5 days/week ( + possibility of some saturdays) Applicants will need to hold all relevant NPTC certificates, including aerial rescue.   8. We have an opening for a part time, self employed tree surgeon (max three days a week; job share available). We are a personal, professional company based in Stoke Newington, London, with consistently good feedback from customers. Owner Luke Geddes currently schedules the physical tree jobs for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays although there may be some flexibility in this to suit the right candidate(s). Pay is fixed per day and will be agreed with the successful candidate(s) in line with qualifications, skills, and experience. Ideally, candidates will: Have a love of and respect for trees and climbing them. Have all relevant chainsaw qualifications including using a chainsaw from a rope and harness and current aerial rescue and first aid. Have a full, LOLER certified climbing kit, including cambium saver. Have an understanding of the fundamentals of pruning cuts and why correct placement is so important for tree health. Have both intelligence and common sense. Be physically fit and strong. Non smokers preferred. Be a fast learner, able both to follow instructions and to act on own initiative. Be reliable, and punctual. Have an excellent work ethic, including taking pride in consistently working hard in a focused and efficient manner. You will have respect for safety, equipment, colleagues, and customers and their property. You will also have an eye for detail, and a positive, proactive approach towards getting the job done be that in the tree, spending all day on the ground, or sharpening a chainsaw when needed. Beneficial but not essential: At least six months’ experience working with chainsaws for a tree surgery company, preferably as a climber. Driving license category C1 allowing driving of 3.5 tonne vans, with experience.   10. Sub-contract climber with experience needed for a small, family run business based near Swaffham, Norfolk. Our work load varies from week to week so no guarantees of how much work we can offer but last winter it averaged at 2 – 3 days per week. Our work is usually within 20 miles or so of Swaffham.   19. Hi all, unfortunately my last company (Bartletts) has made me redundant. I worked for them as a climber since November last year and I have been climbing since June 2015. I have the following tickets: CS30, 31, 38 & 39. I also hold a full driving licence and Lantra Chipper Award. I have my own PPE and will have own climbing kit/saws in a month or so - still saving the pennies. Cheers!

I trained at merrist wood college and completed my cs30/31/38/39, chipper and first aid qualifications. I also gained an ocn level 2 in arboriculture.
