I’ve been trawling these forums for quite a long time now when I’ve been working away, and been toying with the idea of getting into Arb work for quite a long time now. Mostly as something to keep me busy when I’m at home, and I’m not sat at home doing nothing all day.
I currently work offshore, North Sea for 30 days at a time, and 28 days at home. Do you think it could work maybe getting trained when I’m at home on leave, obviously not at once but over a period of months.
Courses aren’t a problem, I can complete chainsaw tickets etc when I’m at home, but as I know, this isn’t an industry that you can just do on a whim and I would probably need some decent hands on experience. This I could call up all the local Tree Surgeons by me and ask if they need a labourer, but I keep thinking this would be a pain for them cause I’m still going to be going back to work every month. Long term I was thinking possibly work towards being a freelance climber.
Does anyone think it would be possible to gain some decent experience in this case?
