  1. Just another storm damaged tree but in amongst predominantly beech trees. Nothing special but I am just learning so wanted to double check
  2. Please tell me it's ash folks 🥺
  3. Not really much more than the beech and a few oak. That said I'm only learning myself so just starting to pick up in what things are myself..
  4. Feel like I've really had my arse spanked for my picture taking skills and I thought I'd done good 😶. Thanks AGAIN for input folks
  5. Close as I could get to budz... Soz I should have mentioned all pics are from the same tree, Trunk on ground is what broke off in last storms.
  6. I've done as I was told and uploaded multiple pics for this one I'm struggling with again. If anyone could offer up some help I'd appreciate it please..
  7. Another I'd like to know what it is please
  8. Tending to agree now I see that. I'm now airing on the side of the pop/pine too. Thanks for that
  9. Yes mate it is. Others mainly pine!!
  10. Let me clarify I would have got more pics but sadly the tree seems to be totally dead so no leafs or buds I could see. The woodland it's in does appear to have plenty of pine/poplar in (as Mick mentioned earlier !) But the bark seems quite different which is what has sparked my curiosity
  11. I recall some where reading that ash bark can show in the form of diamond shapes. So that was what I was thinking it possibly was too.
  12. Can anyone make out this one from this single pic please ??
  13. Exactly mate.. It's the golden egg I'm trying to find. That as well as ash I've been led to believe but I'm only learning so haven't managed yet to be 100% certain when I've found the stuff. 🤔
  14. So I'm back with another one. Any idea please. Could it be beech again ???!
  15. I thought hornbeam tended to have less fissures than this 🤔 thanks though
  16. I'm just learning and so happy I found this forum. Its so helpful to have folks like you lot that are willing to help. Only worry I have is that I send too many pics and queries and become a menace..
