The company Homegrown is an Arboricultural Association Utility Approved contractor specialising in Vegetation Management, Arboriculture, Fencing & Ecology working in the Rail, Highways, Utilities & Construction sectors. The company provides these services across the UK, this opportunity is based primarily in Southern Counties and South East of England. We also have another opportunity for Northern England and surrounding areas and in the rail sector. About the job Due to increased orders from existing and new clients, we are currently looking for full time operatives for a variety of arboriculture/ vegetation management activity works across the South East of England. You will be a self-motivated individual with the ability to work well within a team. Having a passion and taking pride in your work and have a good understanding of current industry best practices. You will be undertaking various aspects of vegetation clearance within the rail or non-rail sectors. Experience is desirable but full training will be provided. Competitive rates of pay offered (dependent upon qualifications and experience). You will be entitled to 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays. This is a full time position working a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. There are further opportunities for additional shifts at the weekend/ working away from home on an ad-hoc basis. With Homegrown's continued success and growth we have a number of positions we are looking to fill: SSOWP / Possession Planner – Ideally based in the North of England with experience of creating ALO plans, booking line blocks, and isolation booking requests. Site Supervisor (North) – Based around the York / Leeds / Doncaster area with knowledge and experience of arboriculture, Level 3 or above, NPTC Certification and competence of working on the rail network. Site Supervisor (South East) – Based in the Southern Counties with knowledge and experience of arboriculture, Level 3 or above and NPTC Certification. General Operatives (North & South) – We are looking for self-motivated individuals with the ability to work well within a team. Preferred Skills of NPTC – CS30 and CS31, NPTC – Woodchipper / Brushcutter, PTS, First aid at work (Forestry). Experience is desirable, however full training will be provided. Lead Fencer / Supervisor - We are looking for a Lead Fencer / Supervisor to manage and lead a well-motivated team installing the company’s range of fencing products and meeting safety, quality, time, and cost-related targets.
