  1. Update. apparantly if any of the vale blocks get blocked in the pump this will cause the machine to overrun and not physically to be shut off. What happed to this machine was the screws came loose behind throttle/shut off bar causing it to not turn all the valves like a valve being blocked. tightened screws and all fixed shuts off and runs perfect. Cost of repair. Nothing. happy days steveeasy
  2. Well after watching some YouTube clips it looks like it maybe a spring might have come loose or broken. Going to have a look tomorrow. The pump seams quite simple in design. Not really ever looked at it before. steveeasy
  3. ok, ive checked the fuel cut off solenoid and it works. the engine is fine. so without the fuel cut off solonoid fitted started the chipper it just revs high. the lever in the pump does not return to the off position hence why it wont shut off. its like its sucked in. what I dont understand is why it instantly runs fast. clearly the pump has taken a turn for the worse. 4. Ok removed fuel stop solonoid. Still did not start. Where solonoid goes did not pop out. Bit of tapping and it came out a bit. Got it running. Black smoke. could it not be popping out due to low pressure so hence why it’s now running ruff. by the way no power at stop solonoid. Which makes no sense at all can’t be both at the same time. thanks for the advise so far steveeasy
  5. Well im told it seamed a bit underpowered. turned it on went to turn it off and the revs stayed at full power which makes no sense. turned it off and it kept running. then it stopped. now no fuel from injectors. I recon the fuel stop solonoid might not be right. ive no idea though why the revs stayed high when the throttle was reduced unless a diesel keeps running when starved with fuel. happy days steveeasy
  6. Ok. chipper was running then overrevved and shut off. could not restart it. loosened injectors and no fuel coming out of them. electric fuel pump working fine and filter clean good supply to pump. bloody tracked chippers. when they stop you cant move the thing. Any advice appreciated. its a kubota V1050 Steveeasy
  7. Actually Im starting to think NPTC as an organisation is a farce. did courses in April 2nd. as yet still no certificates. now these courses are not cheap. the assessments are not cheap. The final bit is pitifully poor. They dont answer the phone. then they have the total utter cheek to say if you dont tell them you have not received your certificates they will charge you another £25. Ive done different courses this week. different mentality and service. Had the 5 certificates already and info uploaded on government site within 24 hours. at around 170 plus per assessment youd think youd get something within 10 weeks.
  8. Gareth, Thanks for the advice on the phone the other day. You mentioned stop switch on top. thought about it, crossed the terminals on switch and rollers work fine both forward and reverse. three months ive been trying to get something from it, hey presto. So I would think a new switch might be needed. going to check the wiring first though to see if its wired correctly. Many Thanks steveeasy
  9. Hi, been having a bit of a problem with this one. Rollers wont go forward. they go back when I press the back button but nothing going forward. Ive fitted a new speed sensor, new speed switch. the reverse switch imuminates when it reverses. fitted new switch on forward valve, but nothing. checked relays. joined the wires on the stop bar sensor to make sure there is continuity. checked belts are tight. nothing. it does work by manually pressing the valve in. Any ideas or a good person who could fix it. Lincolnshire Steveeasy
