  1. Evening guys - that certainly does not sound right - the oil should be pushed through the oil hole to lubricate the chain/bar......watch this informative chap Chainsaw bar oiling faults and fixes. How to fix bar oiling faults. - YouTube as much or as little as you like 🙂 but it gets relevant at 4 mins in........ if your lucky could be as simple as a little bar maintenance - if not dig deeper......if your infeed conveyor can feed a log onto the bar when the bar is in the down position - maybe the bar has suffered crush damage from a log being pushed against it - if it is none of the above - I am certainly no expert but our service mechanic is and he is back here Monday morning - take a few photos and he may be able to give you some pointers at how you could investigate further from what he can see from those......... Hope this helps a little Ian www.foxwoodagricultural.com
  2. I do not know how much these retail for - but this looks like a well designed Splitter - no Hanging around with this one Ryetec CV16 Heavy Duty Firewood Tractor PTO Log Splitter In Action - YouTube
  3. Hi - a few years back I tried a stand up version at one of my friends yards ( much older mignon model-electric ) he could set it to just touch the log ring to split and then return to just above the ring height- this feature made it quite quick…… believe it was a rated as a 7 or 12 ton -we could not find a piece of wood that it could not split during the day - I liked it. Believe but do not quote me that the Thor brand are Italian. I would not know about current prices or availability- interested parties would need to call the supplier but imagine they will be comparably more expensive than a Rock one - I Hope this helps a bit 😀
  4. Hi Gav73, Thank you for the Feedback - appreciated. I have now amended my adverts so that the word Log Splitter has been removed. My last post in this thread (before I found myself in that fire fight) was replying to sandspider and was relevant to the original poster - pointing towards the "Mignon" range of Log Splitters supplied by Davies Implements in Wales. They are great log splitters
  5. Good Morning Andy - I put in the same pot as Doobin. For your reference - We provide a good after sales service and look after our customers
  6. Hi Doobin, Did not like the answer I gave you to the other post hey? - I treat people in the way they treat me - it is clear in my opinion that you are not a very nice person. I am certainly none of the things you are asserting! - I also think that I have told you enough about me - so lets talk about you - what drives you at 8.57 am on a Saturday morning to start writing another mean post about me ? My marketing strategy is fairly low key - I do not Spam forums full of keywords? I have advertised here on Arbtalk with a Banner to sell our products - simple - however a several of my genuine conversation threads have been hijacked a couple of people (you included) who think its OK to interject into a conversation in an attempt to discredit me?? Were you a bully at School?
  7. Hi Dan - You can clearly see - we sell processors......we advertise Timber Processors/Log Splitters................so that people click through to see what we have to offer. Its not misleading our processors do Split Logs - they just cut them first. This is the second negative post you have fired my way - is this how you spend your evenings? Maybe you should find a more constructive way to spend your time?
  8. Thanks Bolt - you are welcome to come and try out a machine if you change your mind. Ian
  9. Hi Bolt - our processors are extremely efficient and reliable - they are offered at a price point which provides great value for money. Not everyone can afford a Hakki Pilke etc.......
  10. Hi S and Spider - good to hear from you. We only sell processors here. My advise would be to check out these machines.......a little bit more expensive than some of the other splitters out there - but well made good quality machines - have a you tube on them Take it easy - Ian
  11. Hi Robin, my name is Ian Tooth - I have been in the arb industry for 20+ years......My team and I sell log splitters imported from the same Supplier in China that Rock machinery do. We have made some modifications to our machines however to make them even better - and you would be more than welcome to come and try splitting some oak on one at our Sussex Woodland Office/Site. Our "Woodsman Timber processors" are vey efficient - check out our processors in the classified section (in the Firewood section) - there is a link to a you tube of the machines in action We do not do hard sell - if you want one - you want one if not - no worries come and have a look and see what you think ! Look forward to hearing from you All Woodsman Processors are supplied with a 1 year Warranty from new. Briggs and Stratton Petrol Engine on the TP38 model has a 3 year Warranty direct from supplier Contact: www.FoxWoodAgricultural.com [email protected] Or Phone: Ian on 07900 017 514 to enquire.
  12. Hi Dan, You are incorrect - I did read the threads - and I had seen that the Firewood regs had already been posted - my post was not intended to upset anyone - The Firewood Regs as per my link had removed a lot of legal jargon and displayed the rules in their simplest form (did you follow my link to see that before posting a slightly hostile response?) If as you say - you season your wood outdoors for two years- your wood will be good to go - and we both know that - and good luck to you! However if a Representative from Woodsure visit you - they will probably disagree and request that you build a polytunnel solar kiln or something similar. I wish you all the best Ian
  13. They will be sure to tell you all the bad thigs with that particular model - and try and up sell you a new one with bells and whistles but this info will certainly be of use to you if you are considering purchasing one.
  14. Hi Jhp321, Hope your well. The Posch Firewood Processors are an Austrian brand and are sturdy - A friend of mine called Ken used to be the UK Posch Rep for Jas P Wilson (not sure if he's still with them though). The link below gives you JasPWilsons contact details - I would give them a call and chat through your intentions - they will be helpful - as even if they do not get a sale from you for a new Processor - they know that you will be buying the replacement parts and service items from them in the future - hope this is of use. Have a good night - Ian Firewood Processors | Jas P Wilson
  15. Interesting topic - everyone seems to have a good grasp on the upcoming regulations - more red tape & hoops to jump through!! Most folk I know - who have regular log customers - have only ever sold dry wood to them (otherwise those regular customers fizzle away and disappear) - and likewise the cowboy fly by night wet wood sellers fizzle out in just the same way - so it all balances out overall. Here's a click-through to FoxWoodAgri,s website - this link simplifies the Firewood Selling Jargon - and hopefully can be of use for some...…. so thought I would share Firewood Selling Regulations | FoxWoodAgricultural
  16. Hi Andy, Friday night really ? - nothing better to do? What your doing is known as trolling and its a little rude. As your disrespecting me, my company (or both) - I will take the time to stop relaxing with my family and respond to your thread. 1./ I think your located close to Rock Machinery because underneath your name - your Location states "Angus" which is in Scotland. Rock machinery are also based in Scotland. 2./ When you see a price of a Chinese machine on a website - that's not the actual price of purchase, you need to get your purchased product shipped from the place of origin back to the UK. To do this you need to organise a shipping contractor to collect your goods (a competent haulier is an expensive additional cost) - and adding to this if your not buying a container or multiple container loads of product then your shipping fees would be literally extortionate as a "part container load" which is known as LCL costs a lot more..... Since Covid - As I am sure you have read - shipping fees have increased by up to 800% - which means importing is now really expensive and unless you are buying multiple containers full of stock - which brings the production costs down a little which is the only way to make the machine cost effective for the Uk market (as the profit margins are incredibly slim). 3./ Finally Once your goods land in port you also have to pay the Uks 20% import tax on the goods your purchased - Again rising up the costs and then you need to have your goods shipped to your location in the UK and then build them as they come flat packed. So overall - its certainly not as cheap or as easy as you think!! Your claim of " I can buy the RM500 for less than you're selling this basic machine." is ridiculous and inaccurate as our profit margins are incredibly small once you factor in all of the above and our running costs, which include our site, staff and the aftersales service Fox Wood Agricultural offer. When you purchase a machine from us we deliver our customers goods to their site (which is factored into the purchase cost) and spend an hour or so (or as long as necessary) familiarizing the purchaser with how to use their machine safely and productively and talk them through the servicing routines (greasing, air filters etc) We also offer a quality aftersales service and provide back up from our personnel - who all originate from within the arb industry. Finally you also made a claim that "everyone and their dog claims to have an uprated version of the Rimi" that's certainly an odd claim? - which Company or Man and his Dog are you referring to? Please be specific. What I can tell you is that our competitor machines have 150mm conveyor belts. Our machines conveyor belts are 200mm wide on the infeed which makes positioning a log much easier on the infeed deck and 250mm outfeed conveyor whch allows a far more efficient discharge of the split wood as when wood travels out the splitter the wider outfeed conveyor does not get jammed up so easy. Our processors ram is also new and slightly more powerful and therefore more efficient - compare videos if you are genuinely interested. For trees surgeons and other foresters who can see the benefits of owning one of our machines - you are welcome to book in for a demonstration here at our West Sussex Forested Location. Our staff will be more than happy to talk to interested parties and fire some wood through the machine with you so you can see how efficient our Woodsman Timber Processors really are ! Kindest Ian
  17. Hi Wood Wizard , Not at the moment unfortunately - we are currently selling our machines as complete set ups although customer feedback is coming in that some of our TP38 users would like to combine the smaller units with the bigger log deck which you can load with a forklift or telehandler (so will get in some separate's for next time) Happy to order you one in (we are placing another order in a few weeks) however if you are in a rush for it - I believe another UK supplier "Crytec" sells the same log lifter as ours as a separate unit for somewhere around £1500 inc vat. Direct message me if your not in a massive rush and I will organise one for you at a great price 🙂 Hope this helps Ian www.foxwoodagricultural.com
  18. Hi Andy, Good to hear from you Yes our machines are manufactured by Rima - a long respected Chinese machinery producer. However as discussed in my post to Doobin our machines are not the Standard off the peg version We have made some improvements to our imported machines. It sounds like you are located close to Rock machinery and so as you joining in the "gang up on Ian" debate I think if you do decide to buy a "Chinesium" machine as you refer to them - then Rock machinery are certainly located much closer to you. I wish you the best Kind regards Ian
  19. Hi Doobin, Interesting constructive criticism there - with the greatest of respect I dont think I will be taking business advise from you - you sound a little bit stressed out or angry to me ! Crytec do sell a similar machine with a different engine for £7745.00 (including the hydraulic log lifter) which is a competitive price but the machines are not comparable - Crytecs machine does not include delivery - ours does. Our machine also has also had an upgrade on the processors ram to improve the splitting power (our machine is also supplied with a different engine -a Briggs and Stratton and comes with a 4 and a 6 way splitting knive set as standard (included) and different guarding around the infeed conveyor and sawblade for usersafety and a wider out feed conveyor. For interest - It would also appear that Crytec have recently reduced their log processor from £8495.95 (without log lifter) which I was not aware of - so thank you for that. I will conceed that I made a mistake on the "No vat" in my original post to Jhp321 - I was having lunch whilst typing earlier - it should have read (inclusive of vat) You are correct that we only trade from a Mobile Number (in my mind the modern world has no need for land lines and we have no intention of getting one), we have a registered premises (which is located in an oak forest and interested folk are welcome to come demo our splitters (by appointment only) Including you Doobin - as we all know if the machine can process oak with ease then it cannot be all that bad !! we also have a substantial premises here with a modern workshop - with an exceptionally talented mechanic/ service engineer. Fox Wood Agricultural is a relatively new venture but I am certainly no plumber ?!? I have been in the arb industry for over 20 years and up until recently headed a fairly large and successful company "Fox Earth Trees Services Ltd" which Connick Tree Care Ltd purchased from and me and the other Director seven years ago. We also have a website - www.foxwoodagricultural.com - which we thought was rather good (and you have hurt my feelings a little by slating it) - but everyone's opinion is different and that is what makes the world so interesting You are correct however that our machines come from China - but in todays world right or wrong - a lot of the things us Brits buy do!! I tried and sampled the machine before purchasing and made the changes discussed to improve the processor. Check out the link below if you wonder how much we import from China!! In short I would not be selling the machines if they were not fit for purpose - and I hope from my reply to Doobins happy post that most people will understand that there are different price points in every market and now I am aware of Crytecs price i will lower mine a little - but as discussed they are certainly not the same machine. If anyone would like to get in touch please do - all of our Contact details are on our website. Kindest Ian Tooth goods imported from China 2020 .docx
  20. Hi Jhp321, Not sure about second hand but we could sell you an affordable new machine - Our TP38 - is £8'500 (no vat) and can process logs up to 15" (38cm) it comes with a Briggs and Stratton petrol engine (3 year guarantee on the engine) and a years guarantee on the Processor. It is also supplied with a Hydraulic log Lifter and we deliver anywhere on the mainland for free (and spend an hour or so with you familiarizing you with the machine and showing you the greasing points and basic weekly service requirements etc....... have a look at the link below and check out our you tube video (we are also in the arbtalk classified listings ) Woodsman Processors | Fox Wood Agricultural If this is within your budget its not a bad bit of kit for the money - if not look out for a used Farmi Wp36 or a Hakki Pilke if you have access to a tractor or similar with a PTO. Hope to hear from you Kindest Ian Tooth (RFS Cert Arb) Fox Wood Agricultural www.foxwoodagricultural.com 0790 001 7514
