Would you be up for whatsapping some pics across mate?
-
Would it most likely be the XYZ switch then?
-
Yeh I can't really tell, it's old oil I think. Black like
-
Is it most likely to be the xyz switch then?
Thanks for all the help chaps. I haven't got a clue so much appreciated
-
Yeh I must be blind but I've had a good look under and found a nice little leak just above ish the gearbox
It's a completely stock disco 2 (for now)
I haven't thought of the xyz switch or the transfer cable so thanks for those shouts
I will let you know tomorrow if the dash screen changes when I select gears
-
Anyone got any ideas?
Doesn't engage gears and won't move forward or backwards
2003 automatic disco
I have checked it hasnt slipped out of hi
What could this be? And how much to repair?
-
Yeh I did it two years ago to see for myself and that's what I do now for my own use and towards September/October I put a tarpaulin over it

I paid £975 for this on 155k miles - might just use it for now and see what happens

Probably a stupid one but I've brought a 2003 Disco ES model that's in fairly good nick and it's just going to be a towing/occasional use car
Just wondered, are they appreciating in price or not otherwise I was thinking of dry storing it but not as it could just be a waste of time
-
Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to have a recon tourqe converter fitted on my disco?
Or any help as to why it doesn't drive... Doesn't move and when you put it into park it makes a scraping sound. The gearbox is topped up but I need help!
Sorry I'm not very clued up on this and very inexperienced
-
Yeh I know that but I'm fixing it to sell so didn't know if anyone would just have it as is but yeh if not I will fix it up 👍

Is this a competition as to how many threads we can start with totally divisive and mostly mediocre arguments in a week?
