  1. Hi, tried the filter every way I can think of, had saws backfire before, especially k760s, always managed to cure the problem, I thought there was only two different coils, 2 or 3 bolt fittings, it is a 2 bolt coil, pretty sure it is the correct flywheel, I'll stick it aside for a while
  2. Changed coil with same part no. from running saw, flywheel is perfect No. It's perfect
  3. Forgot to mention it is a single screw carb
  4. I've rebuilt hundreds of saws, never seen this before, fitted new piston rings, put the carb in an ultrasonic cleaner, fitted new carb kit, new plug, tried another coil, problem is I got it in for repairs in bits along with a few other saws for repair, help before I go nuts
  5. Why does a stihl ts400 run perfect without filter but backfires through exhaust wit new filter fitted
