We’re new to this current house (live in the States) and for the past 2 years noticed that following issues start in the late Spring and progress into Fall Leaves start to discolor (brown) at the tips, the discoloration causes the leaves to wilt, which then spreads to the rest of the impacted leaf; eventually these leaves drop. We’ve had several save a tree people come out and look at the situation but they gave us different explanations. One was that the tree was planted to deep and that we need to “let it breathe” and remove l mulch around the trees’ circumference. The other explanation was that the tree had girdling roots which are choking the tree. We tried to remove mulch around the tree so that it can breathe easier but the problem continues. if it’s girdling roots, I don’t even know which to cut away. The girdling root situation doesn’t even look that bad. What are your ideas? thank you
