Summary of the role/position
This exciting position is responsible for all aspects of managing the tree stock across the Exeter campuses. There is a huge variety of trees in diverse environments including ornamental specimens and woodland settings.
This is a working position leading the small arboricultural team by example, in the highest standards of industry best practice and safety management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take the lead in many arboricultural management decisions and be a key member of the management team in the development of the campus for aesthetics, veteran tree management and biodiversity. They will be responsible for record keeping, working from and interrogating tree surveys.
They must have a passion for trees, have a good knowledge of tree function and use all the tools at their disposal, such as the Picus 3, to make informed decisions about tree retention.
