  1. Thank you! Purchased countertop (pic). There was moisture and heat from the kitchen stove. 1 month of operation. Untreated wood. Can this happen to a thermowood?
  2. Hello! Please help with finding information. I want to make a kitchen table. I will handle food (meat, vegetables, bread, etc. ) on the tabletop. There will be a lot of moisture. Tabletop will be out of thermoash (392- 410F / 200-210C). A three-layer oil coating is planned for additional protection. But I have no answers to some questions. Residual humidity in wood is not guaranteed by my supplier. This is a problem in my location. Thermowood is dead wood. Such wood has different properties. But I can't find exact information on how to resize such dead wood. Clarifying questions: Is there any need to calculate drying-swelling for thermoash? In what range can the tabletop resize? How much to change sizes A and B (look drawing)? Thermoash warping maybe? How much inches (mm) my tabletop can deform? I want to make a simpler table design. Resizing information is needed to create a correct fix & endurance design. But there is no information anywhere. Many thanks for all useful answers!
