    Well exactly what I was thinking how could it reach 100c. It makes me wonder who makes up all these rules.

    Thanks for reply, how would I know if the temperature of the hearth will reach over 100’c till it’s been fitted I wouldn’t know this?

    Hi All, I’m going to fit a free standing stove I have a slate hearth 1200 x 850 x 30 I have wooden floor boards can I cement it straight on top of the floor boards? Or does it have to be raised up 3 or 4 inches? On a concrete base?
