  1. Hi Steven, there is a lid at the top (quite a heavy one) there isn’t enough space to sit / burn logs at the front where the grill is. My thoughts were that it was top-loading and logs would be fed in through the opening at the top. the rear connection / exit with the butterfly valve isn’t removable
  2. Hi all. thanks very much for your responses. It currently isn’t connected to any flue and I don’t have a chimney breast behind it. It’s freestanding and there isn’t any makers Mark anywhere on the unit. There appear to be fire bricks of some sort in the back behind the grill, they have a number “4” written on them. the tray at the bottom is removable, I assume to clean out ash / coal. the “body” is double skinned, stainless steel on the outside and cast iron on the inside.
  3. Evening all, I’ve recently purchased a property that has a log burner (?) on a plinth but does not seem to be fully installed. It doesn’t have enough space at the front for burning logs but it does have a hopper-type space in the top for what I assume would be logs? Is anybody able to help identify what it is / how It works? 794671-F8-988-F-4-E68-A513-92568-FF360-FE IBB.CO Image 794671-F8-988-F-4-E68-A513-92568-FF360-FE hosted in ImgBB 16-C5-F7-B4-166-E-44-E5-97-FF-0339-F379927-D IBB.CO Image 16-C5-F7-B4-166-E-44-E5-97-FF-0339-F379927-D hosted in ImgBB 5268477-A-1-F41-4-D27-B2-DE-D0-D884999-EA3 IBB.CO Image 5268477-A-1-F41-4-D27-B2-DE-D0-D884999-EA3 hosted in ImgBB 95-E28-F49-76-E8-4-DE8-83-F1-FA72-F76-F1-E50 IBB.CO Image 95-E28-F49-76-E8-4-DE8-83-F1-FA72-F76-F1-E50 hosted in ImgBB thanks a lot james
