Thank you for your comments. I will do as you suggested and have it reshaped down the line if it still bothers me. I paid £250 for this, as I only got 1 quotation I wouldn't know if this is over the odds?

Oh I always assumed winter time was the best time but the arborist never said otherwise

To be specific do you mean, the top of the trunk should be cut down vertically to where the branches still remain?

I think it’s a more-recently ‘educated’ arb looking to rip apart someone’s work (quite rightly, as it is terrible). 

Not sure what that means. Was told by someone to post my pictures here as its a big community of arborists. So was just looking for information by professionals.

No its very poor work, did you pick them on price alone?

Price but other work from them looked ok

Hello I had a reduction job done by an arborist local to me. 

I thought in the end my tree looked strange and wasn't sure if the job was done well. 

Can others give me there thoughts?
