  1. Hmm, yeah no inspection point on the visible part of the flue before it goes up chimney either. Maybe this is an issue with original install as inspection point would certainly solve issue given the bar is there. In the end he got the rods up to check it was clear if not able to clean it, so must have just been the sweep attachment that was the issue. Maybe i can try another sweep out with different kit... just worried its another wasted visit!
  2. He had power brushes Maybe just the design of those particular brushes and couldn't get 'em up?
  3. Hi all, Wondering if any advice here. Sweep came and could not access flue with his rods as there is a bar across the top of the stove. Does not seem possible to remove it - there are screws but no bolts on top to release it if that makes sense. It does not seem to have any function except perhaps stopping something large dropping down chimney which doesn't seem possible since we have cowl. It is a Morso 1416 Have attached image I guess would be possible to take it off with a hack saw and some hard work! Thanks

    25m2 area to tip next to garage. Narrow entrance to quarry, but access for 3.5t tipper etc. OK
