  1. They were kiln dried pretty soon after felling so no opportunity to change colour I guess?
  2. With respect, I would agree that the 211 was a bit light, and it would probably be less time consuming to go through the planning portal (10 minutes) than to become embroiled in correspondence with the Council even if you do believe you are correct. I'm all for having principles but life's just too short sometimes. Otherwise I'd spend half my life arguing with people!
  3. Lime is a good shout. I was thinking alder but the logs tend to be quite orange in colour.
  4. LAs can only condition a few things-works to BS3998, to be completed within a given timeframe and possibly one other which escapes me, but certainly isn't not being able to burn on site.
  5. Afternoon, Does anyone know if the CAS is still running? They seem pretty elusive when I try to contact them about membership. Cheers.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
