  1. Hi I’m new to this site , currently looking for a completely new career route into forestry. I don’t really want to be a tree surgeon , more interested in forestry management , planning etc. I dont have a degree but could cope with that level of study although really need part time or distance learning Due to needing to work to fund rent etc. have read the ABC qualifications are best but I’m not working in the industry so would I need to do that or could I do more of a theory based study to start with and then use that qualification to get me into the industry for practical experience. any help gratefully Received !

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
