  1. Will this count? Our new Yamaha Kodiak 700.
  2. Brundles DC iron The brundles paper catalogue is like getting the Argos when you were 12.
  3. My Mrs is a blacksmith, people (mainly men) who tell the wife to put something down as they will make one when they get home with that 1980s Clarke welder and 3 inch vice. Normally something that's taken her a day to make.
  4. Watch out as it comes out the can with viggure and gets purple die all over the place, best not spray it in the drawing room.
  5. £5.15 and probably save you a fortune.
  6. I will look for the cow cream. The purple spray has always worked, my Glen has a purple back paw at the moment after cutting it in my wife forge yesterday on some perforated sheet.
  7. We spray any cuts, grazing or light skin injuries with sheep foot spray, never had an infection as a result yet but the purple patch looks a bit strange.
  8. Hi, Sorry about your bad news but you may well have had a lucky escape, although difficult to see just now. The chances are you have analysed the situation correctly but it could be down to his wife controlling the money side, loss of a contract, downturn in work due to the weather or him putting out job offers that the company just can't sustain. You will find your place, my wife is a self employed blacksmith and has had a few fleeting comments, strange looks and women saying "you can make me that at home" openly to their husbands whilst looking at stuff at fairs etc, normally a item that takes a lot of skill and effort. People are just bells and I think although most people would think not in 2021 a woman in a perceived "man's world" will at some point encounter an icy reaction. Chin up dude and look forward to finding the right team where you will fit in with no animosity from anyone.
  9. Twig and Glen watching over the fresh log pile.
  10. Think she's getting it, the advice has helped.
  11. She's a blacksmith so sharping it should be ok, for someone who spends all day swinging a hammer this pick is causing some difficulty, what is the trick?
  12. She's cool and actually enjoys doing the logs if the weather is ok.
  13. Do you think I should leave the dogs in the house?
  14. Hi, probably a stupid question but any tips for my lady to get handy with the log Pick I brought her? She has the modern aluminium70cm handle type and she's looking at shifting fire logs out the way as I cut them ready for splitting.
  15. I have got the 550 with heated handles, well worth the extra.
  16. For the cost of 1 length of pipe and an air brick I would get both fitted. Nice easy job for lock down.
  17. Bizzarly we got the cavity walls insulated and the people who did this fitted the vent to the front room where the wood burner is.
  18. Thought it was law to have a wall vent in the room the wood burner is in?
  19. I would go for this if you have the supply. No over complicated parts to go wrong. My wife has the older BOC type and it's in daily use on full power with no problems, pay £600 no and it will still be worth £600 in 20 years time.
  20. Can you put a 32 amp supply in? big blue plug. It a thicker cable like for a shower and a 32 amp breaker, but it will open up a lot more options.
  21. Hope she recovers well.
  22. Twig and Glen enjoying those logs we chopped.
  23. I find UPS the most professional set up by a long way. They employ their own staff to deliver stuff.
