No it’s not boring, I’m on two lines and still trying to figure out ways to make it more user friendly. I climb on vt with dmm triple pulleys, Ddrt. With a tree motion harness. Tbh I’m struggling organising everything thats going on with everything on the harness bridges. I’m thinking of having one short and one long bridge as tree motion has two bridge and having one of my hitch’s floating so I can stagger the pulleys to stop them being side by side. I’m not sure yet. I’m not 100% sure yet. Feels awkward being on two lines constantly. Almost said f@#k this shit the other day and just be a gardener lol. It has taken the fun out of it for me. It’s good to see other climbers setups because there’s no videos or pics of anyone doing it yet. Looks like your carabiners in the wrong hole on the triple pulley. Should be the bottom hole or is that normal for srt. Iv never climbed srt soz lol.

This two rope system will highlight the climbers who’s never bother to learn about better climbing systems and self educate themselves in climbing techniques and the advantages of using more advanced hitch’s, I know a couple of climbers who are still climbing on the original prussik they was taught on in college purely because they’ve never bothered to do any research outside work hours. Not sure how their going to cope keep having to push two prussiks up after every hip thrust. But then they don’t hardly use a second tie in lanyard/strop when cutting so my bet is they won’t bother with a second line which is why we’ve had this two line system thrown at us. I think rescue can still be done with one line. That’s what AA have said anyway.

I currently climb on a 13mm marlow with a 10mm eye2eye distel hitch with pulley. I was going to get a petzl zigzag but because of the 2 main line working at height regulation I’m put off with having the cost and having 2 clunky zigzags knocking about. I was going to get thinner 11.7mm stein rope for the zigzag for smoother running. I still want to get thinner diameter rope as it’s a lot lighter and manageable. Was wonder if anyone knows how a 10mm distel hitch performs on a 11.7mm line. If at all? I done loads of research on what works best for zigzags but this 2 main line thing has put me right off. I work well with distel hitch so will stick with that now I got to get use to working two main lines.

does the same apply when working on just a pole? Two tie ins with a steel flip line.

I use a distal hitch with a dmm triple attachment pulley. Iv tried the zz but prefer a hitch tbh. Iv looked at pros and cons of these two cambium savers and others aswel. I think il be going for the teufelberger multisaver as it’ll react the same as my current with the added bonus of adjustability and won’t put as much pressure on the hitch. Just needed as much advice as possible as these things ain’t cheap as you all know ?

Must admit, i use to have moments here and there where I use to piss myself a little ? I’m ok now, have no problems with heights. I’d climb up going from limb to limb instead of hauling ass straight to the top helped with fear. It’s helps ease you in to the height. A little fear isn’t bad because I believe it’s a way you make dam sure your gears good and your always connected correctly.

I currently climb using a treehog cambium saver which has just the two rings joined by a strap, I want to upgrade but I Don’t know whether to go for teufelburgers multi saver or pulley saver, has anyone used both and what your thoughts?

Has anyone got any recommendations for rigging/climbing equipment suppliers near Essex? I used to go to Stanton hope ltd when I needed to collect gear on the quick to save any down time waiting for deliveries but now they’ve closed down I’m stuck finding anywhere that’s close enough to just nip in and collect stuff quickly.
