  1. Experienced Utilities Arb Surveyor, looking for full time employment. SSE inducted and good working relationships with QSI's and SSE working practices. NPTC Utility Arboriculture Units 1, 2.1, 5.1 and 5.2. Have worked extensively in the Wessex, Thames, Ridgeway & some of the South East regions. Experienced at both paper and digital surveying. Utility Arboricultural Surveying is a role I genuinely enjoy, particularly being outdoors, meeting people and delivering completed works. I feel I have excellent customer service and negotiation skills which are a natural part of my personality but have been developed through various customer facing roles both in and out of Arboriculture, but have really been honed through the last 2.5 years of surveying and consenting on SSE contracts. Excelled at getting difficult consents, working with QSI's to overturn refusals and enjoying the challenge. I have a high level of organisational and IT skills and am used to dealing with large sets of data. 13 years experience in domestic & commercial Arb, covering all aspects up to quoting for companies. Although I don't have the PTI qualification I am well underway to studying for it. Am based in Bath, Somerset so I have great access to a number of areas from South Wales to the South Coast and anywhere along the M4 & M5 corridors. Please DM for further details, CV and references Best regards Stuart McGillivray SM_CV_2022.pdf

  4. Hi all, Does anyone have a standardised Utility arb Risk assessment and Method statement they could share please? Thanks in advance.
  5. This a great start, thank you. Even you Mark Bolam.
  6. Thanks, asking because I am looking to expand my knowledge base and to gain some qualifications in the next year or so. I've asked for a short answer so I can make a start. Hopefully on the fungi that have the highest risk factors in everyday practical arb work. Have seen the effects of meripilus, honey fungus and ganoderma. Have cleared up the results or removed, the infected trees. Working to other peoples specifications as a climber. My knowledge of these is poor.
  7. What are the 10 most important fungi an arborist should know? Especially in terms of tree health and safety. Thanks.
  8. Hello, does anybody have any Utility arb literature/ resources they could share with me please? Preferably digital/PDF etc. I have an interview coming up that I could do with having some basic knowledge of UA. Thanks in advance.
