  1. I reckon I might have 30 tonne. It was a late thin, so a nightmare to get the stuff down. I have been quoted what you paid, the stuff to go for chip for heating chicken sheds. I reckon this is the wrong market for me!
  2. Hello. I am trying to shift roundwood log of Sitka and Douglas. Chicken farmers are not giving much, and fencing stakes is too much hassle. I would like to sell to firewood merchants by the cord, 8'x4'x4'/128 cubic feet or 3.6m cube, with a market value for the finished product a little over £240 based on softwood log for sale by the dumpy bag in South Wales.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
