  1. So guys, had my Husqy 236 for a while now and it’s alright but recently been given permission to cut some trees down that the 236 just isn’t gonna handle so I need something with a bit more grunt. Suggestions welcome but personally prefer Husqy’s but will consider others. Second hand or new.
  2. What’s the guy called on this forum who sells chainsaws on eBay, think he’s based in Wales and sells them second hand/ex demo! TIA guys!
  3. My father is a man of habit, his Husqvarna 254xp has just died and he is desperate for another as he insists that he dislikes the modern equivalent, apart from eBay is there anywhere else I can try and source him one? Thanks guys
  4. The brake stops it but it doesn't stall it just ticks over. It's back to the dealer for it I think!
  5. It's completely untouched! Haven't even opened the casing to look inside. My dad knows about saws but said "I've never seen this issue before" which is concerning lol
  6. Yes it revs up, chain spins as it should, take the throttle off and the chain keeps going and eventually stops. But if you leave it it'll spin up again without even touching the throttle
  7. Hi folks, new member here. Just bought a 236 from a local dealer second hand as a cheap saw for logging up smaller stuff in the back garden. I've immediately come across a problem. The chain spins like it's on half throttle even if I've let go of the trigger. As the dealer is shut until Tuesday I thought I'd try here and just see if anyone has any ideas why this is happening? Cheers guys!
