  1. I think that is something that everyone can agree on
  2. Had a look around using chrome/firefox and navigation wise I cannot find any real issues.
  3. I agree a deterrent will not stop Kim, but I feel that a deterrent will help keep Russia in line. something that is pretty important in my opinions especially after the Crimea incident.
  4. realistically though if we stop renewing trident, we could use the money to better tackle the terrorism issue, but we would just open ourselves up to different threats, and frankly I would take terrorism over nuclear war any day.
  5. sure, I would love to have a look
  6. I was under the impression that ash is not good bow making wood
  7. I was more just going of the fact he said it was a canker
  8. from what I know it is easier for roots to heal in less compacted soil
  9. Yeah this would be my first time making a bow, I just figured hazel since my previous bow was. Thanks for the advice though
  10. I agree with Arbitree about de compacting and feeding. Also I do not think dead wood removal is necessary, but at the same time if removing the dead wood would make the client happy/safe then it can't really do any damage.
  11. 1, yes it can easily spread to other nearby cherry's (if not treated) 2, yes it can be treated, but only by heavy pruning of affected areas. so in conclusion since the infected area looks very close to the stump (making pruning impossible), I would recommend full removal, including grinding out stump as the disease can survive in the stump (and then spread).
  12. I really do feel sorry for you, with this whole thing. But at the same time next to everyone on the thread said it was a bad idea, and you went ahead anyway. So if there is anything to learn from this experience, is that it is very important to listen to others (especially when many of them likely, made the same mistake as you in the past). I know this may sound a little harsh, but it is really not meant that way and I really do wish you the best, for the future.
  13. I am looking for some yew or hazel timber in the Cheltenham area. It will be for bow making so only really need a 1x2, probably about 2m ish. Willing to pay a reasonable price, but it would need to be someone who can deliver, cause I only have a bike.
  14. I used to run a Chinese saw (not top handle) and they are decent saws, but the issue is that parts are not available, so one something goes you need to get a new saw.
  15. Thats ok £100 for a running saw was pushing it a bit anyway (my initial plan was to get a non runner)
  16. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=woodland&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab&gfe_rd=cr&ei=vCcnWcj1K5GsgAbm1ajAAg#q=woodland+definition
  17. lovely looking cherry, what you using it for?
  18. does £100 sound ok? Realistically it is probably worth a little more, but that is all I can spare right now.
  19. even though I would love a 76, I expect it would be a bit out of my price range
  20. In regards to the whole army on the streets thing. I do not really see why the army are not utilized, for these sort of stationary armed security positions more often?. I mean half the time troops are just being paid to train, and well if they filled the standing around with guns waiting for **** to happen role (half of there job anyway), well then that would open up armed police and allow them to quickly respond to situations. This is just my opinion, and if anybody can see any flaws in it I would be interested to hear
  21. not sure either, would some pics be possible?
