  1. Hi all I'm torn between two courses - the Arb Association's Intermediate Tree Inspection and Land Skills' 2 Day Tree Inspection. I need a stepping stone between the Lantra One Day basic course and the Professional Tree Inspection course. I'm thinking the Land Skills one as it's being run quite a lot sooner and is a bit cheaper, and seems to have the same basic material. Any help or suggestions, especially from anyone who's done the courses, would be great. Thanks!
  2. I've been a complete idiot. I stupidly started fiddling with my (Oregon) forestry tape the other day and took the spring out (read 'had it explode in my face'). I've managed to fold it back into the outer casing, but it doesn't seem to be in correctly and the casing is impossible to put back on. Does anyone know if it's even possible to put a forestry tape spring back in with minimal tools, and what the correct procedure is? I can't find any information on the web besides the usual swapping of the tape. I'd rather get it fixed than have to fork out £40 for another tape. Thanks in advance for any help!
  3. Even £65 is quite a lot for me at the moment. Cheap's relative...
  4. My girlfriend washed my chainsaw trousers at 60 degrees today (didn't check if anything was already in the washing machine before putting a wash on!) and the label says only to wash at 40. My question is, is it likely to have damaged them in any way? Can I feel safe using them any more? They're Oregon Yukon type A.
