  1. Anyone sell chips? I've found a place that uses a Dragon burner, huge chip boiler. They pay for dried chips...and I'm desperate to upload green chips. Don't know whether to give it away as its green, and we both win. I also often have trailers full of non chipped brush, hacked down to a sticky mulch. Finding it harder and harder to get rid of the waste these days. When I worked in London, we just used the municipal tip, charged it on to the client.
  2. They are now marketed as MS390, I believe. Look up price at dealer site. If you want a 60cc saw though and are buying second hand, you'd be as well to go 038; much better build with ally case etc, and made in West Germany, but a slightly heavier box. Like I said, I've run an 039 for (15?) years with a 25" bar, and love it. If the AV is crap, it's because your rubbers are crap, and they should be replaced. You did ask about 25" minimum though...039 or similar will do 25" max.
  3. ^ I've run an 039 with a 25" bar for years. Great for chogging down up a tree, when that little extra reach means you can cut from one side and not reposition. I'm 6'4", and it reaches perfectly to the ground while standing straight, something not to be sniffed at I'm sure you'll agree?
  4. Stihl 039 or 038 will pull a 25". But max. All depends on how much you crank on the dogs. 2-300£ used eBay.
  5. I'm scared they'll come back soon, I have a gazillion power tools ie planes, drills grinders etc, 2 diesel engines, lots of other excellent tat. I'm rebuilding my boat, have been for 4 years. Sleeping with a .22 air rifle, high power torch and an iron bar under my bunk. Well, I wouldn't call it sleeping really. There's no one else around here. Theft is just a fact of rural life. Even if I apprehend them and they get nicked, they or their mates are gonna come back and burn my boat, and start a war. Feck.
  6. I don't live in a house, I live in a boat, on land, 20 feet from workshop. My 240v is disconnected as I am having to do a major rewire, trying to chase an earth fault that has been giving me belts the last 2 weeks. No 240v = no alarm Going 12 v alarms now, I've heard of thieves shorting out 240 then bashing their way in too. Fed up. Feel like a wasp with no sting. Unusual soap Richie....
  7. No, properly hidden away behind loads of junk, in uninsurable shed, bike chained, padlocked to metal lathe. They picked the locks while I slept 20 feet away.
  8. 076 AV, 3 foot bar, quite new, all the paint on it. Huge dogs. 039, 25" bar, again, big dogs. 038 Farm Boss, West German. 20" bar. 200T 14" bar. Frankly I don't expect to see them again, but the 076 is rare-ish. If anyone sees it, please ring 07976525210. Reward. Thanks.
