Miker, photos showing what I described last night. Locks never failed but the container did.

CISA heavy duty padlocks are the ones I think you mean by container types. I work in construction and have personally had containers broken into where the lock didn't fail but the weld on the container did. I'll try and dig the photo out on my laptop it was about 3 years ago it happened. Hope that is of some help even if I can't find the photos

An 8 wheeler in timber transport will have a much different body style to the ones you see in the construction industry. Bolster pins and a long arm grab are the order of the day.
Thanx for your reply and knowledge treequip. I only know the industry and wagons I work with. I'll bear that in mind in future

Depends on high side or normal hook load Goaty. To be honest I would stay clear of of m3 for buying. A m3 of clay is about 1.5t a m3 of logs would be nowhere near that. You'll get your fingers burnt buying in m3 unless it's a very very low price your paying.

Hi I'm construction based but I'm pretty sure an 8 wheeler carries about 14 cubic meters as an average rather than the 20t weight it can carry.

Hi I'm looking for any arisings not wanted from felling trees in the St Helens, Liverpool and Soulthport area that will be collected. These are for personal use for me and a friend not for profit. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Andy.
