  1. I have 6 Pines (and a blue spruce) on my property that I was told are being attacked by Black Turpentine Beetles and Conifer Bark Beetle. Last year I had them spray the foliage and do a ground injection for the problem for around 2 grand (20 grand over a 10 year period sounds like an expensive investment). I'd rather just buy the equipment, insecticide, and ground injection and do it myself. I'm not positive what type of chemicals I'll need for those two beetles. I found one place that mentioned Bifenthrin, Carbaryl and Permethrin, but I'm sure about whether or not they would do the job, when to use them etc. I figured I could get a pressure washer and do some ratio of water and chemical for the foliage. I admit to be completely unguided though and open to input. I live in Utah (US) if that makes any difference. Can someone guide me? Additionally I have ashes that I've been told I have a borer problem, but I've seen a few products that target emerald ash borer (Imidacloprid based product). I wonder if that stuff would also help the pines.
