  5. Hi, I want to start a new career in arboriculture/tree surgery and would welcome any information or advice offered. my current fill time job is dental nursing and its killing me, i hate being inside all day everyday. I enjoy physiacally challenging work so I work as local crew building stages, lighting etc at arena gigs at weekends when the work is available. I also book holiday over summer so i can work as a steel hand building the main stage and front of house at V festival, its physically demanding work in a male dominated environment but I enjoy it, I've been doing it for a few years now, and got the chance to be climber last year. Ive been thinking about a new career for a while now and tree surgery ticks all the boxes me. I'm happiest when i'm outside, I want to climb, i want to do something conservation related, and i most enjoy jobs that are physically demanding. I'm looking forward to hearing any advice for starting out.
