  1. There wasn’t one Les, good resale value at the age and hrs it was on and it was an opportunity to put things in place after a period or using the old mill ie lessons learned. Part of me is still wondering if I did right thing bud, this one is the last one Les I tell you that. I’ll stick to playing with the little woodlands afterwards.
  2. Yeah 60KVA silent runner, probably could have got away with slightly smaller but it ticked away nicely all day and didn’t use a huge amount of fuel, probably less than the previous Honda petrol unit would have. As for cost yeah im trying to not think about it too much.
  3. First time out with the new mill, few bits of oak for a pal foc , basically a shakedown session for me and the mill to see how it goes. Few things to sort including trying to bring blade speed down a bit for big hardwoods, VFD being the preferred option and possibly move one or two of hydraulic tools. Fixed operator panel is taking a bit of getting the hang of rather than walking alongside the head, I missed being able to watch the blade on the feed side roller for any issues. One f—-k up on my part pushing too hard and ended up smoking the drive belts a touch, 25kw motor didn’t strain at all just asking too much of things I guess. The session confirmed my hatred of x cut tipped blades.
  4. 🤷‍♂️ Yep all related to carbon dioxide 😞that’s why we see a huge reduction in use of flights by those who are preaching to the masses about the perils of climate change. The latest save the world junket at Bletchley Park for example. If teams meetings and such like were adequate for the plebs during the covid farce why not for the never ending round of international gatherings we see every year. Often as not followed by proclamations regarding how we should behave.
  5. What can you say 🤷‍♂️day after day more and more evidence comes out that the response was, as a minority said at the time utterly wrong in so many ways. It was a period of utter and unforgivable insanity.
  6. Cheers there’s a lovely old redundant stenner set up in a derelict shed on an estate near me and a load of blades just being left to rot away.
  7. I think between £10-12 is what I was paying, not sure for other members. Just curious regarding the 7” body blade, what’s that running in ??.
  8. My experience with saw doctors has been mixed to say the least. Ended up buying sharpening and setting eqpt and have had far better results and blade longevity, using a variety of woodmizer sharpening wheels really showed what a mess the blades and hook angle were in after a few trips to my local saw doctor. As for tipped blades for some reason I’ve never got along with them but I know others love them, admittedly I never did sharpen any myself.
  9. Let’s see how this all pans out for Starmer. Labour MPs marching with these people 🤷‍♂️
  10. Not sure if the video will be taken down or allowed to run, it’s pretty grim stuff. How can anyone expect Isreal not to go all out after this. Hamas knew exactly what they were doing. Iran called the shots and destroyed the upcoming agreements between Israel and other Middle East nations. I watch the antics of the protesters in London recently and despair at the Mets pathetic approach. London and a number of other locations are borderline lost when it comes to law and order. What is interesting is Starmers predicament right now with pressure from within his own ranks. f4e97887-399c-4bfb-b2fd-ba4494f5d866.mp4
  11. Cheers yeah it’s a gamble at times. Im currently ( and have been for a while ) on the lookout for an Urban tractor unit preferably a Daf manual box model, I did see one down in Doncaster but was offshore at the time and couldn’t bring myself to go for it unseen.
  12. You close by ?? You view first or just take a punt ?
  13. Still a decent bit of kit at sub 3k
  14. Well let’s just hope the tens of thousands of military aged males masquerading as asylum seekers whom some very foolish people welcome here, that have illegally crossed the channel don’t decide to kick off or we will have a huge problem on our hands. Something akin to the groups of pro Palestinian protesters you are already seeing being allowed to harass Jewish people with weak willed police observation. I’ve attached a couple of images from a LI post from another like minded individual, for those who express confusion.
  15. I wasn’t aware they had done anything other than issue strong denials of any involvement. Try Googling the blast and damage patterns of standard Israeli ordinance. Nothing fits the bill. The dive team I’m on at min in Holland has UXO guys on it from Holland,Italy, UK and Poland and none of them reckon the blast pattern is caused by normal precision delivered ordinance.
  16. You weren’t a couple of years ago 🤷‍♂️
  17. Mark if that had been a proper bit of targeted Israeli ordinance nothing would be left there and the crater would be enormous.
  18. Mark of course I don’t as well you know but I think the Hamas regime gambled on the attack maybe having a different outcome, possibly not helped due to the classic Muslim bloodlust setting in along with the ubiquitous “ god is great “ chant as innocents are slaughtered in often horrific circumstances, something we have became all to familiar with over the years. I get the feeling sympathy is running short in many ways.
  19. Too late for citizen smith type politics now Mark. I’d say Hamas and Gaza will cease to exist shortly 🤷‍♂️sadly it’s the innocents as always who will suffer from both sides.
  20. ‘I only knew that from the Nazis’: Israeli forensic experts identify tortured and burned bodies – POLITICO WWW.POLITICO.EU Experts say they have found evidence of decapitation, rape and people being burned alive. Unfortunately J I think the Hamas leadership knew fine well the reaction would be a strong one. Wether or not they banked on total eradication is another question. Quite frankly if I were an Israeli be it civilian or a reservist I’d want nothing less and who can blame them.
  21. Lockdowns not as effective as claimed, Covid Inquiry told WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK Senior epidemiologist who advised ministers during the pandemic said national shutdowns were a... Neil Ferguson admitted lockdown would cause economic misery WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK Scientist, whose data prompted first lockdown, warned the measure would... Covid expert gives damning lockdown assessment to inquiry that will leave critics furious WWW.GBNEWS.COM Mark Woolhouse supported the use of lockdowns at the time of the pandemic the incredibly expensive covid inquiry seems to be ticking along wasting millions as did the whole farce, somewhat overshadowed by current world events. Probably much to the relief of many seeing as the picture it’s painting is making those that were more sceptical ( and ridiculed ) at the time of all the madness seem rather a sensible bunch after all.
  22. Andy have you looked at Canadian wood UK ?? Just google Canadian log homes uk that pops up a few options for the bigger log homes you’re looking for as does searching the US sites. Importing from there I guess is no less expensive than the EU nowadays.
  23. I can ask the ex,s brother Andy he is in a log home that’s 40yrs old plus, I’ve been in that many times in a Finnish winter and it’s always been a lovely temperature. Painted every 3-4years. Good work and quality ethic I always found with the tradesmen over there.
  24. Some interesting kit on their site. Not a make I’m familiar with but seems a decent bit of kit, lot of clearance above blade and steel crowned wheels etc 👍
  25. Play your stupid utterly childish word games regarding kids and parents ( plural) bud if you want You overstepped the mark making disparaging comments about kids and parents and you know it, in doing so you confirm everything for me. End of story. SNP supporter ? Can’t you comprehend that question? It’s been asked multiple times or are you to ashamed to answer it.
