  1. Time and tide waits for no man Les 👍
  2. Christ Mark I expect a bit more from yourself. So you claim the majority of people want the crap you talk of legalised. Ok bud I’ll be in lynemouth on the 16/5 let’s meet and I’ll watch you shoot up on Heroin see how you get on.
  3. I’m still waiting for the conclusion of a discussion on a different topic from you and a couple of others, so really can’t be arsed to get into this to and fro be honest particularly with those fond of making up false claims. If a few on here seem to think that making the crap you are on about legal then-quite frankly you are even more stupid than I previously thought.
  4. Ok mark, you are entitled to your opinion. Thankfully you are in a tiny minority on this one.
  5. Very viable. Look at the regular incidents regarding fishermen and excavations etc throughout Western Europe, Germany in particular. Cover or contain the blast sounds good but can make things far worse. No doubt it will be left until it has to be done as the cost whatever happens is gonna be astronomical.
  6. Yeah Mark ban the lot for me and drop the dealers on the spot like the old Philippines guy did ( much to the applause of the Philippino deck crew on a boat I was on at the time) How on earth can an educated adult propose legalising the stuff you are talking about. As for Alcohol! What did I say 🤷‍♂️personally I don’t give a damn but to compare having a few beers or a glass of wine with smoking crack cocaine, come on Mark. It might have been a good idea at uni but Anarchy ain’t a viable alternative or solution.
  7. No of course it doesn’t just as this stupid bit of legislation will not stop smoking. The scale of as you describe it is a fraction of what it would be if it was legalised. But what kind of world will we live in if that shit is made legal and therefore presumably acceptable 🤷‍♂️it’s an ongoing fight unfortunately and why would I be happy about criminal gangs running anything, we have a weak police and judiciary that should be far harder on this crap. I’ve personally lost two mates over the years to alcoholism and one ex army colleague to a heroin overdose. Additionally to that I literally threw a family member out of my house when it was plain his income was coming from similar activities. There’s a huge difference in the outcomes between shooting up on heroin and buying some old Holborn.
  8. Do you genuinely think. Heroin, Crystal Meth, Fentanyl etc etc should be legal ?.
  9. Well the first two already are and an alcohol ban wouldn’t bother me personally as I don’t drink but I’d still be 100% against any attempt to restrict access to it. Like Scott Rails ongoing ban on alcohol sales, total SNP nanny state control freak behaviour.
  10. MPs to vote on smoking ban for those born after 2009 - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK Rishi Sunak's bill aims to create the UK's first smoke-free generation in a major public health intervention. I’m anti smoking and have never smoked but I just feel this is nanny state intervention that is totally unnecessary, it’s been said today on the news “ what next “ a ban on excess sugar, a ban on how many units of alcohol you can have 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.
  11. Every day is a learning day, I’ve come across it a couple of times in Elm and had zero idea what causes it or what it was called. 👍
  12. I’m in the process of applying for a restricted O licence. I needed something to tow the mill and carry a 60kva generator etc. The solution I’ve gone with is a Daf urban tractor unit converted to carry the generator and tow the mill both of which it will do comfortably rather than right on the limit. I’ve had my artic licence for years so that was not a worry but I’m still down rating the unit to 7.5t just for the cheaper road tax. The level of red tape to do anything nowadays is suffocating but unfortunately no way around it as I saw it. I think the thought of starting the process is worse than the actual task itself.
  13. I’m sure Tescos and others including oil producers will be looking at this and thinking about maximising profit already. Not sure if anyone took much notice at the recent announcement regarding huge profits at Tesco There’s nothing like a manufactured over over hyped crisis to boost shareholder dividends it would seem. Tesco profits surge as inflation falls ‘substantially’ WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK Latest data reveal grocery price increases are at their lowest level in two years Tesco says price pressures easing as profits soar - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK The UK's biggest supermarket chain made annual pre-tax profits of nearly £2.3bn up...
  14. No chance Shallow so blast will go up in the main.
  15. Explosives-filled shipwreck has safety work delayed as objects found WWW.BBC.CO.UK The SS Richard Montgomery's explosive cargo has been lying on the Thames Estuary bed for... A job and a half to sort this out. I’d say it’s literally impossible to put a price on what it would cost to get that to an ALARP level that would satisfy all stakeholders and signed off.
  16. ‘Honour-based’ abuse in England increases 60% in two years | Society | The Guardian AMP.THEGUARDIAN.COM Global political influence may make assault and forced marriage more frequent and severe, say experts If something like this was in any way attributable to the mysterious so called far right I keep hearing about in the UK it would be headline news
  17. Muslim honour attacks, killings and subsequent assistance from within the same community 🤷‍♂️oops is that a hate crime nowadays.
  18. Shoplifting crackdown to include £55m for facial recognition tools in England and Wales APPLE.NEWS Mobile units will be deployed on high streets to identify wanted people – including repeat offenders Im not sure if I buy the whole shoplifting excuse.
  19. Labour floats plan to boost HMRC headcount by 5,000 WWW.CIVILSERVICEWORLD.COM Rachel Reeves says crackdown on tax gap will raise £5bn a year for NHS and schools A sign of things to come 👍
  20. I’m just being cheeky Mark, it’s not directed at you.
  21. On a similar note I do look forward to the outrage among the liberals if old DT gets back in. Mark funnily enough it seems on here at least to be the left leaners who keep going on about conspiracy stuff 🤷‍♂️. I keep asking for some examples as I’d be interested in reading the outlandish stuff I keep hearing about but sadly none seem to be forthcoming.
  22. Police issue pictures of man wanted for murder after stabbing mum with pram in Bradford APPLE.NEWS Police have issued pictures of a murder suspect being hunted over the death of woman after she was... No doubt the elephant in the room will be invisible. With a bit of luck he will resist arrest and put up enough of a fight for the police to administer value for money justice, few pounds for a couple of well placed rounds as opposed to a small fortune too lock him up.
  23. In every way imaginable mind you it takes all sorts apparently a quick google throws up some interesting stuff 😀
  24. I don’t read any particular paper although it’s not hard to find stuff pop up about SNP incompetence. Myself and a few others on here have been calling them out for years. Strange as it seems I do remember a few forum members praising her and wanting to be up here during her covid grandstanding period. An absolute charlatan with a proper vindictive and downright nasty side to her character. You’d agree more if you just thought more sensibly about things.
  25. The US put men on the Moon faster than the SNP built two ferries, says scathing Andrew Neil - Scottish Daily Express WWW-SCOTTISHDAILYEXPRESS-CO-UK.CDN.AMPPROJECT.ORG From JFK's inspirational 'We choose to go to the Moon' speech to Apollo 11... Had to laugh at this.
