I have used vit E capsules, puncture with a pin and spread on the skin, it softens the scar tissue, good for healing burns too...

yes, i used to do that on scars from crashing on my bike as a kid 🤣

but thought i'd ask the question

    been very interesting, thanks all

I had extreme nerve damage in 3 finger in my right hand after I severed them.

The first year was pretty painful.  Anything touching the scars felt like and electric shock.

I tried to get used to it by pushing through the discomfort and rubbing my hands on different textures to reduce sensitivity.

It still hurts to this day and that will be three years in April since the mishap.

  3. hi,

random one but wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any creams etc to help with the scar healing

would love something that somehow can make them less sensitive but guess that's impossible!?

got it caught in a log splitter nearly a year ago, but the scares which are all around the end are just so sensitive, can be the smallest knock or gain of sand or something just in the wrong spot

    any ideas welcome please

2020 model. Seems to have had an easy life with an old boy who hardly used it, until I got my hands on it! Thanks but I can’t think the recoil would be a problem compared to me putting the wrong fuel in?

well, i meant to post before on this, as i stupidly made the same mistake years ago!

that was on a 130r, i ran about 5 tanks of straight petrol through it, then it stalled... then the penny dropped 😅🤦‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️  🤦‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️

so, i drained all the fuel out, then kept priming it to get all the fuel out, then put 2 stroke in it, primed for a good minute or 2, and then started it. let it idle for about 2 or 3 mins.

and it's been absolutely perfect, its still the only long reach kombi i have and still runs perfectly to this day, and that was 9 years ago it happened

  7. How old is it?

My br800 wouldn't restart once warm, did some research and people said its the side start recoil

So got a standard br800 recoil, not side start and that's sorted the issue!!

When u said wouldn't restart that's why my thinking was

I have the stihl part number if u need

That's a tidy little unit. Would never pay to make one yourself at the price you got it.

exactly, the just plugs straight into the processor

there is a FB group for all handmade processor's and log decks, that would be worth a read 👍

Saw looks OK-ish- it's pretty small diameter timber. Ram is slow compared to a PTO model, that'll be the bottleneck.

But an utter bargain at that money!

    Yeh ok, good to know

    Maybe next time 🙃

    Log deck is utterly brilliant

Hydraulic powered too and all done from same controls on processor

    Did you import directly then?

how do you find 14hp, sounds a bit underpowered? What kind of money?

yeh, sure did. imported 2 of them, one for a mate, did the same with the mill too

been ok so far, never used a PTO one before so can't comment, video is of oak going through, what do you reckon?

cost wise, just under £5k including the log deck and some spares

There are a load of different cheap knock of 18v makita cordless one on ebay that im tempted by if you have any makitas batteries.

    Thank you

    I've got normal ones, felco

But fancy some ratchet ones for bigger stuff, bit of a cleaner finish then using the silky everytime

Yeh, I'm wondered about those, I've plenty of makita batteries!

  12. these any use to anyone?

they are cut down ibc inserts i used to cover up all the vented logs bags as i keep them outside

    work very well

in the summer they act as a bit of a greenhouse and dry them very well
