  1. Reminds me of something I read somewhere about a poster in a hospital. Picture of a newborn baby with the solemn warning for the pediatric staff "THE FIRST TEN MINUTES OF A PERSONS LIFE CAN BE THE MOST DANGEROUS, BE VIGILANT" Some one took a biro and wrote underneath. "The last ten minutes can be pretty tricky as well" I'll get me coat.
  2. As for pinkfoot's I reckon it's a tiger crane fly. Not 100% on that though.
  3. Don't worry too much, put some decent soil on top, seed it with grass, keep mowing It'll die off soon enough. I had a HC sprouting 10 Mtrs from the tree after grinding. No way I was going to chase every root. Edit. Just seen Sloth's response, same as I guess.
  4. Nice, a real 4 door/4 seater, can't get them here now cos they've stopped the VAT relief, it'll be a crew cab for me when I get a new one sadly.
  5. I reckoned it was a wasp so I googled orange wood wasp and got this.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hymenoptera Where do I collect my prize?
  6. 13000 quid for a 27 year old Toyota with a quarter of a million miles on the clock? Nah, you're alright.... (And you can't even have it till the end of August!)
  7. Not long after the GM drain plug had to be "fixed" (not my fault) the TW fuel tank Started leaking (possibly my fault) I get this stuff from a local tractor repairing garage, it's two pastes that you mix together then slap it on, wait 24 hrs and it's good to go!
  8. I didn't realise that not all "steel toecap boots" were not actually steel. Sobering vid.
  9. No that's me, picture of primitive magnificence.
  10. Looks expensive, surprised it went over as easy as that, but photos can deceive. My old rayco 1625 went over dozens of times, even a barrel toll down a hill once! Engine was always fine afterwards. Kohler 25hp command unit. Never gave me a moments bother in 12 years.
  11. Ahhhh, thank for the explanation. Makes sense.
  12. I'm unfamiliar with these, except in pictures. What is the advantage over another more conventional compact tractor of the same power? Ie kubota/John Deere
  13. In all fairness, after 20+ years of chainsaw usage, the only disappointing "not my fault" failures was two 357s blowing up long before they should have. Everything else has been my misuse/poor maintenance. Or reasonable wear through age. (Only stihl /husky btw)
  14. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members-only/40022-guarantee-99-guys-know-where-image.html I knew I'd find this thread somewhere!
  15. Thing I hate about hedges is that you can't rush them really, can't cheat, no shortcuts. The care you take shows in the result. Good work.
  16. More power, less weight. Smaller dimensions. Electric power that lasts.
  17. Not certain about still pictures, but I've seen some outstanding videos at this location.
  18. Bump. I was reminded of this thread when I came home from a trip abroad for a week. The smaller walnut on the right is the one which does not come into full leaf till mid June, every year I'm convinced it's dying, in full leaf now, happy as Larry. It's neighbour hasn't fared so well and went over in my absence.
