  1. Time will tell, but it looks a bargain.
  2. I'm not interested in the debate. It's been done a thousand times.
  3. Your response was disingenuous IMO, you knew full well what he meant and was lining up for another lecture about never giving the customer an idea of how long the job will take..... I'm sure a very large majority of us have (on occasion) slowed a job down a bit by lengthening a tea break or some other surreptitious means because the price is on the heavy side.
  4. You know exactly why. You're not confused at all.
  5. Hi lukey, it's just too big a question. Plenty of threads on here if you use the search function though. None of them will give the definitive answer though.
  6. I'd rather have proper logging/tree surgery pics. If/when I want pictures of see pictures of attractive ladies in a state of undress, I've plenty of websites on my "favorites" list.
  7. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/maintenance-help/10616-timberwolf-fins-flywheel-bearings.html Found it.
  8. Dean Lofthouse did a step by step picture "Haynes" manual type bearing replacement on a TW. It's on here somewhere.
  9.

  10. I used to hate it, a feeling of dread when I saw one coming the other way, would they wave? I would feel obliged to wave back. Then feel all dirty inside. The worst would be if I thought they were going to wave and waved to them and they didn't wave back. Sold it in the end, couldn't take the stress.
  11. Anyone who opens a container of any kind of pasta, soup, hummus or any thing apart from sandwiches, crisps or suchlike is a hippy and to be shunned.
  12. Without a doubt egg mayonnaise (heavily peppered)
  13. I used to get the odd one phone up back in the UK. Waste of time mostly, wanted this and that in this and that size, never wanted to pay and even if they did, 10/20 quid not worth the effort.
  14. They'll want the numbers anyway, so might as well get under there!
  15. Have a look at the axel, it should have a plate with the manufacturer on.
  16. No, if you turn up at the yard, are given a job sheet then the guy who gives you the sheet needs the insurance, not you. It's their job.
  17. Good to see you out and about. Mick
  18. Nice pics Rich, very Autumnal, Flatmeister are you working 7 days a week?
  19. Yep, I reckon that's it. You're right in a way of course, good groundies are invaluable. I'm put in mind of a story told to me by a brash rat I had work for me for a while, till he got the bullet for being too high falutin' He was working for a competitor (back in the UK) he asked him for a pay rise and was told "You have to realise I could go to the gates of the local school at 4oclock and find a dozen youngsters just as good as you"
  20. Think about it, Really think about it, you may figure it out.
  21. Looks like you'll be busy on the spanners for a bit.
  22. "Everything ok?" Is my go to question at the end, like has been said "are you happy with the tree?" gives them an opening to ask for something more, just because they can.
  23. Sniffers! Blow your nose ffs.
