It's not the weight of the cage it's the capacity, it looks great, just too high. I would certainly not take it off, just cut the top off,and shorten the roof section and re weld it back on. You'll be overweight most of the time anyway.

Looks too high, you won't be able to fill it up or you'll be doing wheelies. Nice truck though, you could cut it down a bit or just not fill it up to the top.

The machine needs replacing really though I'm guessing. If you don't have the money to replace it, or at least a substantial portion of it, you could say it's too late to put prices up, at least on this machine. It's back to square one, not attacking you but some people should read and understand that the sort of underpricing whereby you're busy all week doing cheap work with an expensive machine will end up in tears. The clients will be all smiles of course, they'll love you.

There is one drawback. when you do multiple trees and you start a tree with little battery power, you know it's not going to last the tree, but you can't just "fill it up" like a petrol saw. You have to finish the battery and send the saw down.

Yep, practice your knots, get an ident book and start knowing the different trees. It'll help you a lot when you do start.

I think you have to think of context, they're a screen tree, not spécimens. Tickling alders? all the growth is at the end of the branches. Might as well hat-rack them, do it again in 7 years, then again, till they rot out, then fell and replace.

That was me (le sanglier) the criquet was a nightmare to build, bits didn't fit, motor wasnt right, the company were terrible as well. I managed to finish it and move it on at a considerable loss. Don't touch it!

Thanks Paul. I'll douse my flaming torch and put my pitchfork away. Maybe there should be an electronic trigger on the handle behind the chainbrake, a bit like the magic eye on grinders. Sure you could tape it up if you were of a mind to do it, but more responsible companies could ensure that doesn't happen.

Not enough flow I've been told. A bit like the skidsteer grinder attachements. Never heard a good word about them.
