  1. If I'm honest I'd be more embarrassed to call myself an arborist than anything. I mean lumberjack, tree climber, ok but arborist is a bit like dentist. Not really skull and crossbones stuff.
  2. Just watched Blancmange cover this on totp2, didn't do it justice, so here's the original. One of their best, which is saying something.
  3. I miss knowing what threads I'd posted in, you know the little red arrow.
  4. Cannibals eh? Bit like that round here as well.
  5. How is this industry struggling?
  6. Igor the Bastard spent the morning digging in a rabbit warren in the corner of the clients garden, much to the client's amusement. I had to pull him out by his tail, here he is covered in mud, looking back to the warren, he soon jumped out of the van to resume excavations
  7. The first one is horrible of course, as for the second one, if you're going to walk topless down a foggy motorway I'm going to judge you as certifiable.
  8. Dunno, Spuddog0507 is the Bs n Es a shortening of "business" or a "bees knees" thing?
  9. You know the saying is "the bee's knees" don't you? Not important of course.
  10. Good boy Two Stroke! Igor loves to catch wasps as well, what wasn't so amusing was the full on dog fight he instigated with an Airedale on the beach last week on holiday. left me with bloody fingers pulling them apart.
  11. Yeah, cooler weather here is welcome, back to business now.
  12. There was a story behind that fell, it was part of a large clearing of a "lot" as the yanks call it, not just that one tree. The owner (as has been said) was earning money off the timber and OKed the fell as the decking was easy to replace. iirc any damage to the buildings was not a tragedy but if he managed to avoid it that would be "nice" Anyone who's ever worked in this business cannot fail to be impressed though.
  13. Why would you need a diver? The water runs over the top of the sluice. Anyway this dam was compromised and we had to clear a load of trees on the left, (empty lake on the right) before a 360 repaired it. The client tried clearing the vegetation, then gave up and left it. It must have died off and disappeared unable to survive submerged.
  14. What about doing nothing? Assuming it'll get filled before spring. 27 hectare? You sure?
  15. I've got nothing to compare it to but my stv36 kubota is a hell of a tool. Winching, belly cutter, flail etc. Not cheap though.
  16. Many companies won't export a large machine (and not charge you The VAT) if your country has its own dealer, under instructions from the manufacturer. I'll take your word for the asking for the VAT back from the UK, I've no idea how that works.
  17. The problem with that plan is that you will have to swallow the VAT.
  18. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4891484/Fists-fly-politically-correct-rally.html Shades of the Judean people's popular front.
  19. Ok, thanks. It's been sliding around in there for a good while, I don't think it's been doing it's job. I'll leave it out, see what happens.
  20. So I have 2x201s and on both of them the three holed plate (pictured) is rattling around loose. I'm sure it something to do with the exhaust, there are no issues with running or anything, but what purpose does it serve? Thanks in advance. Mick
  21. Bottle of this tonight, helps me forget.
