  1. For sure, but no one hurt and all insured one hopes.
  2. I used to hear about ‘half life’ files back last century. Not necessarily dropping a whole size, but slightly smaller. They're definitely a thing.
  3. https://www.wscountytimes.co.uk/news/van-destroyed-in-driveway-blaze-1-8661097 Chip truck and chipper up in flames in Ifold near Loxwood, West Sussex. My old stamping ground, though I hardly know any of the guys these days. Happened at 1pm according to the article. Wonder how that started?
  4. As others have said... I started out using corks and stuff, after a short time, didn’t bother.
  5. No worries, extremely busy atm so there is zero urgency.
  6. I know the feeling of buying something expensive that you réalisé quickly was a mistake. I kept my Land Rover tipper for 5 years before finally selling it, the release when I finally got shot was wonderful. Take the hit now, get what you really need, move on.
  7. I thought I was going to be a website customer....
  8. I can look at stuck saws Monday to Friday at work thank you very much.
  9. In one way or another I’m pretty much always in this situation.
  10. Well you’d never get out of bed with thinking like that. More risk, more reward. I’ve never taken anyone to court in 23 years.
  11. You’re doing it wrong, look at the tree, quote it with plenty of fat, then sub in a firm to provide a chipper and groundies, do it, keep more of the money.
  12. Snapping bootlaces in the morning and trailer/chipper lights not working.
  13. Interesting, but if I was paying poll tax in Liverpool to fund that I might feel differently.
  14. There are guys who WILL stop people, and there are less assertive sorts. Make sure you have the former on traffic duty.
  15. Could have been very unpleasant. One person to hold the traffic for a minute was all that was needed.
  16. No, but as a pretty bad driver myself, I try (now I’m in my dotage) not to let small driving errors in others get me upset, leave plenty of room so there’s lots of reaction time, then if someone pulls a bizarre stunt, just smile and wave.
  17. I get annoyed when young people start shouting and tooting when you make some little error like being in the wrong lane or not indicating, like they never make a mistake! Also people not not understanding that lorries need more consideration than cars, it’s not as easy for them to manoeuvre around, cut them some slack.
  18. ‘The one under the chair seems poised for action.
  19. Comical, I’m glad I don’t have to deal with nonsense like that anymore. Mind you I have other paperwork nonsense that would blow your minds to deal with. I suppose there’s a kind of cosmic level of it that everyone has to overcome.
  20. But you did say “no one” as opposed to nothing, this implies a human. Morning Dave btw.
  21. Anyone else been offered this by FB? What the hell is this?
  22. Ha ha, just saw that on the news myself.
  23. Almost poplar like regrowth on that oak Ian, did you count how long since the topping?
  24. For sure, but who knows what turns up anywhere? chains are cheap(er than they used to be) surely better to just put a new file/chain in the toolbox and crack on.
